The difference is that Stornoway has a population of 6,000 and Cornwall 560,000. That's actually more than Bradford.

Difference being Bradford is a city - Cornwall is an entire county that takes hours to drive across. Whilst we’re on that to drive from one end of Cornwall to the other takes about 3 hours. Imagine the population of people you can reach in 3 hours drive from Bradford. Shows you the lunacy of this.
The point being Stornaway is a small town that’s hours from anywhere else. A bit like Penryn (which also has about 6000 inhabitants). Or you could just move Coventry to Stornaway call it Scotland Rl and claim the whole population of 5.5 million for the expansionists.
Perez says they intend to built a team of Cornish talent. Which basically means they’ll be players who aren’t good enough to get into the local Rugby Union sides. Like West Wales they’ll be weaker than most of the top amateur sides and getting a tanking every week. In truth West Wales are pretty much amateur anyway as they can’t afford to pay all their players. Or he’ll just have to splash the cash like he did at Toronto.

Indeed....as my Wife from Hale has told me, but given Perez and his "joint ventures', 15 is another connotation that has legs.

Hi Maccbull. I live three miles south of Penryn. Driving northwards, in three hours I am usually somewhere around Gloucester services.
I think the issue here is that the Bradford Rugby League team represents Bradford, and the Cornwall Rugby League team will represent Cornwall. The relative density of population is not too important.

The cash splashed there was $30,000,000 dollars, and the Billionaire Argyle funded that, not Perez......

To use a mining analogy as above, the difference is that the seam in Cornwall is undepleted and hasn't even been touched.

we will have to see whether the seam is rather thin and hard to eke out, or gold nuggets are spread everywhere on the ground. Perez's press conferences will indicate the latter, his record will indicate to the former.
Remember the interview with Dave Woods where grid iron players would be converted into RL professionals in numbers "pretty quickly". Or the press conference launching Ottawa that didn't feature anyone with any money. His record he has built up of dreaming up and boasting about his plans, then delivering nothing, won't help this succeed.
Whose gonna trust him with their money now?

I flit between El Dorado and Shangri-La myself, but I will collect up a sack of gold coins from the beach when I'm in Dorado, and you can take them down to Eric for me......

| I thought it was a joke at first but on reflection I think that, managed well (!**!@!), it could have legs. Clubs like Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints, Newcastle Falcons, Bath etc attract support from a wide area specifically because they represent the whole county or region. Given time the new Cornwall club could do the same. But I’m not holding my breath.

The four clubs you name Kev have a very long history in a very long established sport Bath going back to something like 1865, there is no comparison.
Such clubs are in areas of high population where Rugby Union has been established well over a century and a half, with respect mate no comparison.
The direct comparison is Blackpool Borough, albeit the Borough were a lot closer to the RL heartlands I can't remember holidaymakers flocking to games there.
They folded then it was tried again as Blackpool Panthers who didn't do any better and managed 400 crowds. Perez may manage this if he gives away enough free tickets and leaves the gates open for people to access the beer festival You suggest Mr. Perez is a bit of a Jester, we shall see.......

| Is this in conjunction with the Cornish Rebels, who were planning to approach the RFL for a place in League One, or in spite of them?
I suspect the latter.
