Why can’t we have the crowd/ ground noise only? I know at the moment it would not work. Sky used to offer this option. Those of us who have followed the game don’t need commentary. I do agree that the ones on Sky now won’t attract the new or casual supporters.

| Stuart Pyke used to be the football commentator on BBC GMR, and he didn't even commentate on the RL on that station as it was always Trevor Hunt or Jack Dearden. Strange choice by Sky, although he might be the new Barry Davies, where he is the voice of a few different sports.  |

When he worked for BBC GMR did he used to call himself Umberto?

Remember Pyke being on Piccadilly in the 80's doing RL and Man City games. Clive Tyldsley has been dropped to number 2 at ITV depends if he is freelance to be able to bring him across to sky.
