Whatever the reason, I think Sky's coverage has gone stale and I think he needed to leave. He deserves a good send-off though.

Agreed he deserved a good send off but should have left at the end of last season.
Sky's coverage is truly diabolical. They have lost all interest in RL which is painfully apparent.

Sadly it's becoming apparent that MGarbutt1986's world is something of a thought-free zone.

As for Eddie, he was a great change from Ray French and Eddie Waring - a straight man commentator who was thoroughly competent and professional. People saying "I don't notice the commentator" are somewhat missing the point - his skill was in being the unobtrusive observer. But even then he had some memorable moments.

It looks like Bill Arthur is taking over. Hopefully this is just temporary as I don't think Bill has quite the commentating skills to take over the top job full time.

Contrary to popular belief, Eddie DESPISES Warrington. I've known the fella for 15 years, and he's NEVER had a good word to say about my team, but, the commentary since he has left, is DREADFUL.. Biill Arthur? I'm sorry, but I've owned kettles with more charisma.

Arthur is terrible and yes im missing Eddie..he wasn't perfect but miles better than dull as ditchwater Bill.

Well the timing was always a bit strange going at Easter instead of after the GF. Will be interesting to see the lineup at the start of 2020.....for the rest of the season it just looks like make do with the rest.

Actually, Chorley Jean, as an alleged Dragons fan I thought you should have known it was Ben Proe (oops sorry, Benjamin Proe )who called a lot of the Catalan home games when they were first televised.

Arthur can try to sound enthusiastic, but there's something missing. He's alright commentating now and then, but he's a little bit too stale to be the main honcho.

Sky/RL should run a national competition to find the new voice of RL....100k contract..big PR...throw some effort into it...get a good, dynamic character signed up...someone with some energy...not necessarily from the heartlands....great opportunity...etc etc.

Oh c'mon OE, That is too much of a great idea for the rfl to consider that.
