| Quote: nottinghamtiger "Salford on the end of some rough calls that have led to St Helens tries.
Salford defender supposedly played at a ball that was kicked into him from about a metre away and he didn’t even change his running stride or make a movement towards the ball. Saints score from the resulting set.
Next try comes from a a knock on given against Salford when the Saints player clearly makes contact with the ball and knocks it forward onto the Salford player’s head.
I know we have the luxury of slow-mo replays etc, but it seems Saints are getting to rub of the green so far.'"
This whole ‘let’s moan everytime Saints get a dubious decision’ is mind blowingly boring. It is just about impossible for any referee to get every decision right and generally the team who are on the front foot and dominating will get the majority of incorrect decisions to their way. You also fail to mention that Peyroux had a penalty go against him in the first half even though Hastings had hold of him first. Saints won because they were by far the better team, get over it. That isn’t just aimed at you, it’s aimed at about half of Leeds also.

Be interesting to see his stats for jumping the defensive line and giving tries away

To be honest, as a neutral the team didn’t really matter. If Salford had scored two tries from clearly incorrect decisions, I’d have said the same thing. My point was that whilst decisions do tend to even themselves out, and Salford may have has have some dubious penalties go in their favourtoo, the ones that went against them were costly and obviously incorrect.
Given I wrote the post at half time, I’m not quite sure how I need to “get over” Saints winning, as they hadn’t at the time.

Apart from which it was exactly the same last week against Leeds. I know A118 118 is a Saints apologist but anyone can see they're getting the calls at the moment. As for the number of incorrect tries/non tries being sent up in Saints favour...

It wasn’t aimed at you that bit but there definitely is a lot of anti-saints drivel written on this forum. The whole moaning last week after the Leeds game was embarrassing given that only two major decisions were wrong, one for saints and one for Leeds. As I say as well, whilst there were two decisions wrongly given to Saints, Peyroux should have had a penalty on the Salford line and had a try wrongly disallowed in the second half.

Why you complaining about them being sent up incorrectly when the VR hasn’t given any in favour of Saints incorrectly anyway. And against Leeds there were two major decisions that were wrong. One for both Saints so no, Saints didn’t get the calls in that game either.

Er.. Because if the ref is consistently sending them up with the wrong decision in 1 teams favour it shows they're getting the calls from the ref. That is who we're talking about here, isn't it?
If you genuinely believe the reffing/calls were even handed in the Leeds game I pity you. Every fan is biased towards their own team but that takes it to a whole other level. At least acknowledge you're getting the rub of the green at the moment. It's not a slight on your team, but a comment on the current refereeing standards.
