It's obviously not a case of them rather signing an import to a key position, I'm sure they would rather have French players there (they have Gigot of course). At the end of the day they are a professional sports team, who will sign the best players they can under the constraints of the competition rules, same as Hull KR, same as Warrington.

Early days yet. Their Ontario RL comp needs to grow first

Do Hull kr only have local players in key positions?

Everyone knows that Catalonia is an area of Wigan bordering Beech Hill. This allows ex Wigan players to commute each day whilst continuing to live in the palatial surroundings of Scholes.

I'm not either, Jean. I was questioning whether we've seen an improvement in the French national side since Catalans' inclusion.

| It’s difficult to judge Roy, other countries, particularly England, PNG, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa have significantly improved throughout the last 18 years.
However IMO yes the current French team is significantly better than that in the 1990’s.
If there was another European Cup between France, Wales, Scotland and Ireland you would expect France to win comfortably

More French clubs in SL, more French players in SL. You would think France doesn't have any RL leagues.
And dont forget, the more French teams, the less slots for Canadian/American teams.

| One thing the French desperately lack as a national team is out and out size across the park. They were probably the weediest looking team in the WC last year.

Several key players were injured and thus unavailable for the French World Cup squad last year.

It wasn't me who wrote this, it was Willzay.
Now, you moaned like a 20 pence hooker when the multiple account names were directed at you and went crying to the mods.
I suggest the mods verify me as a single username on here (as I have requested multiple times before)

Are you Phil Clarke? You’re just making things up.
There are no anti-French posters and nobody has ever raised that question.

You mean English players surely, I mean...you know Hull is a blob of mud on the east coast and isn't actually a country, right ?
That aside, you don't need to be Einstein to figure out there aren't enough RL players of sufficient quality coming out of France to create a team capable of competing in SL, they have a pool of talent playing yawnion so in that respect they've got the jump on Toronto, but tbh, although they do add to the Champs and SL, its pretty poor show given the potential that already exists.

Budgie, surely your mate who’s a mod on the Wigan board can confirm this
