"In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over. Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief.":8570.jpg |

| Quote: Clearwing "Thank god for the vid ref - were it not for him I'd have thought Ratchford touched that before it went dead.'"
He did.
But you obviously only see what you want to see.
By the time Ratchford touched the ball, the video ref clearly showed that his legs were over the dead ball line so it was a perfectly correct decision.

| Quote: Jake the Peg "Deliberate offsides, constant interference in the ruck, ball strips, moving off the mark, play acting. You're absolutely awful to watch although you do bore sides to defeat on occassion'"
And no other team do that? Both sides were penalised for all of that. In fact, now I think about it, Wire were penalised for a ball steal and Wigan weren't. So a comment like this;
Quote: Jake the Peg "wigan take cheating to a new level.'"
is a little overboard, no? I get that a lot of people don't like Wigan for one reason or another, but surely they're providing enough things to be critical enough without making things up too.
I can't argue with the boring comment but that's not against the rules of the game either.

This is bang on the money. My manager at work is a Man Utd fan and low and behold the only tickets he can easily get are Europa league games

| I loved the bit where Hiku lost the ball near the Wigan line, Bateman went in to pat him on the head, Hiku raised his arm and a melee broke out. Penalty reversed to Wire to make it 16-10. It highlights a previous comment. If Wigan got away from the niggley stuff and got on with trying to outscore the opposition there could be a decent side to watch.

| Sky gave the wrong centre man of the match. Hiku was quality. Well done Wire. And well done James Child as well, he had a filthy game to officiate and it was pleasing to see Bateman get penalised for being a house .

| Wigan and there tactics really annoy me. They could be a really good team to watch if they werent so niggly. Whether its chucking opponents boots away after they come off, Tomkins spraying the ball with water before taking a drop out. Hair pulling on Sims, Tomkins trying to lock in opponents arms by trapping them. Leaving knees in after a try and also in the tackle.
This win at all costs approach must come down through the coaching staff. If they tried to play rugby then they may fair a little better.

| Bateman is a massive player but that incident summed up Wigan's attitude. Most players first reaction would be to run & congratulate his team mates, rather immediately trying to antagonise the opposition. At least you can guarantee Bateman would back it up, unlike the hideous Tomkins, whose off the ball antics are a disgrace. Taking Currie out on a bomb with an act that could have resulted in injury was the worst. A shame a once great player has nothing left in his nal.

| the most bizarre occurence last night for me, was the penalty against hiku for moving off the mark, now granted after being held down, he probably did move forward about half a metre when he got up, but in the grand scheme of things, he didn't steal any distance and its far from the worst version of that you will see all season.
Contrast with the second half, wire put a bomb up in the away end, ratch pats it back to lockers who stands still waiting for the ref to blow, we tackle him, he then crawls forwards 3 times with NOTHING said to him whatsoever.
Bizarre, truly bizarre.

| The most bizarre thing for me was the Wigan loose forward (Gelling I think on this scrum) dummying to leave the scrum without the ball to trick Wire into an off side. This holding the ball in the second rows feet at scrums is becoming a shambles.
Ps how poor is Sam Tomkins?? Im sure he just niggles people due his frustrations of being a below average player.

At one point the ball went out of touch and play had stopped but Gelling decided to pick it up anyway and from just off the pitch randomly tried hitting a drop goal. Thing is Wigan were behind and he just wasted time kicking the ball away. Strange lad

Nah that was hilarious. I think it went over as well, or was very close.
