Quote: ThePrinter "Interesting the talk at HT about the VR possibly being used for these incidents of late. I don't believe they have been used but they have in the past, Joel Moon got sent off vs Saints in 2014 after the on field ref asked the VR to view a challenge.'"
Plenty of previous;
Sam Moa sent off against London in 2012 despite the fact it showed that the 'high' tackle hit the shoulder and the whiplash affect was because of the impact to the shoulder not to the head but sent off from that.
Gareth Raynor in attempting to dislodge the ball in a bradford/Wigan CC encounter smashed rat boy in the chops so Ganson basically used the video replay to send him off.

The Sam Moa one was a definite red. Shoulder to the head.

| As was Raynor. Cynical & deliberate in my book. Although he could have claimed diminished responsibility as it was on Tomkins.
Amor's was also red. Otherwise it will become acceptable to decapitate anyone as long as you hit lower down first then onto the head. I accept, in Amor's case, any ban should reflect the accidental nature of the incident.
