19722.gif Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.:19722.gif |

| No complaints about the result but will be surprised if Westwood escapes a ban. Looked late and high.

| Was a red card for me. I think Westwood had committed himself to the hit so I wouldn't class it as late however it was what is best described as a clothes line and certainly head high. I've seen far worse but still a red & 2 or 3 matches.

| stiff arm? Clothesline?
He launched himself before the ball went, his arm went across his chest, there was contact from his shoulder with sutcliffes face. Which is what unfortunately caused the injury.
He'll deffo get 2 games tho. Which we don't need going into Easter.
What's more annoying is Sims is probably going to get at least one game for stupidly standing on cuthbertsons arm.
He can protest all he wants, but watching it back last night it looked as obvious as anything.

| What was Simms doing, really dumb play.
I'd give Westwood a ban, disappointting to see a Warrington fan celebrate it in thier forum, with his previous and injury to the player I'd give him 2/3 games.

I think you need some anatomy lessons.
He copped his chin, not normally part of the chest area.
Red card all day long

His shoulder did, his arm which was fully extended went across his chest.

I remember the days when shoulder contact with the head was an instant red card, was all the rage a season or two ago.
What baffled me about the Westwood incident is that the TJ gave James Child a report of what happened - the mic picked up what he said. He described it as a late hit to the head, and James Child decided that was only worth a yellow.
So if Westwood gets cited by the match review panel, what does that mean? The inconsistency would point to the on field ref and the match review panel using different protocols or something?
They have something in football where if a ref sees a foul and books the player, that player cannot then be hit with a ban for the same incident later on. Presumably for the same reason as above - it would highlight inconsistencies within the governing body.

| Westwod has always been a grub. Just look at his attitude to Ian Kirke as he lay unconscious following their head clash.
The only thing that avoided a straight red last night was that the ref didn't see it.
3 game ban for me.
