| I hate to do this as a Hull supporter, but Ellis this year has been outstanding. The MOS isn't just about how hard a player hits or how many games they play, this award carries the name of a warrior and a selfless character. Gareth's leadership and professionalism this year has been exemplary.

| I'd go Houghton, possibly Ellis but he's missed a few games.
Other than that really struggling to pick people who've stood out this year. Manfredi maybe, Gidley?

| Probably between Ellis, Houghton or Sandow for me so far. Maybe even Gidley or Minichiello? Both seem to have had massively positive effects on their respective teams.
Before any Wigan fans get their knickers in a twist, I think their injuries has put paid to any one player being in the running, though Williams seems to be impressing in the last few games?

Gadwin has improved massively this year. Last year he was raw, clumsy and error prone, however, under the guidance and coaching of Daryl Powell (the 2014 coach of the year), compared to the average coaching set up in Catalan, Gadwin has kicked on, makes good yards, cheeky offload and has a good chant from the crowd when he enters the field.
That said, definitely not mos

| As it stands it would have to be Ellis, he leads that Hull team and they look a lot less of a team without him. The 2nd row pairing with Minicello is as good as there is in SL this year which is quite impressive when Hull's key signings were Pritchard and Manu who I don't think are fit to lace the boots of those 2.
Outside bet would have been Dave Taylor had Cats not imploded.

Impressed Springer against Wakefield the other week. Proper handful with the ball in hand, big difference to game pretty much 12 months before hand.
MOS - looks like Ellis is a popular choice but he's missed a fair chunk of the year injured and I've got the hump about him getting away with swinging arm high shot against us a few months back. Probably go for Danny Houghton myself.
