Interesting that Wakey has two Fijian wingers in its best team, and two Greek-heritage players. Fijians only recently have become massive performers in the NRL.

Fairleigh was a prop, but could play second row to an equally immense level.
Some players unlucky to miss out, such as the immense Kevin iro.
Went for Darren Smith at the end for some utility, pipping the likes of Lee Gilmour, Sean Hoppe and Jon Wilkin.'"
That was a pretty impressive lineup. Its is reflected in the actual performances of the 2000 onwards teams.
It would be up there with Wigan, Bradford, and Hull FC (if the latter could have found a decent coach).
I would love to see it go head to head with my best Catalans and London teams.

| There is always a decision to make in these threads between picking the most talented players or picking the ones that gave the best service. I have tried to strike a happy medium. The backs just about pick themselves with Tom Briscoe the only one unlucky to miss out. The forwards are a bit tougher.

I've kept it to players who played at least a couple of seasons, ruling out most of the current squad, and many of Sandercock's signings. Made an exception for Weyman, as he was very good and our turnover of props has been phenomenal.
Lot of respect for the contribution Mark O'Neill made in 2007, but injury meant he only played in about half a dozen wins iirc. Can't see why he'd be in ahead of Chester or a few others tbh. Also Fitzhenry did okay, but lost his place to Colbon on the wing and played out his second season as utility, again iirc.
