| “I would like someone to explain to me how the second try for Huddersfield was awarded by professional referees given how far forward the ball travelled.”
Let me explain Mr chairman. The ball travelled forward because of a fundamental piece of physics called momentum. For a demonstration of momentum try driving your car quickly at a wall without wearing your seatbelt. The movement of your body through the windscreen is an example of momentum at work. If that's a bit too drastic an experiment to try out then read the works on classical mechanics of the great English physicist and mathematician Sir Isaac Newton. Or indeed any basic physics GCSE or A level text book.
In fact the reason the ball travelled forward is the same reason it travelled forward for most of the times the ball was passed by both sides during that game.
Hope that helps.

So, a forward pass doesn't exist, it is just given on a referees whim.

No that pass was forward.

| The question wasn't about whether the ball was passed forward- it was a question about why the ball travelled forwards. Which suggests he doesn't....... like sooooo many others...... Understand what a forward pass is.
The TJ was in a perfect position to see whether Grix passed the ball backwards- How far forward the ball finished up is irrelevant. .

| 1. There was a survey done a few years back and London (I think they were quins RL at the time) were the most penalised team in the comp both at home and away. Whether it's intentional or subliminal, Super League referees don't travel well and non-heartland teams do not get the rub of the green from them.
2. Anyone who accuses a referee of being crooked either better have proof or deep pockets. The RFL should throw the book at this bloke....

In this case the ball travelled forward because it was passed forward.

| If the Catalans players concentrated more on trying to play rugby league instead of looking for different ways or cheating and causing injuries to their opponents then the referees might just be able to concentrate more on what is actually happening instead of having to have eyes in the back of his head.

You claim it was passed forward Based on what?
Those paid to make that decision said it wasnt- and they were able to make a call based on their ideal position at the time. From the footage I've seen i couldn't say it was- but as I haven't seen a camera shot from the other side then neither can I dispute what the TJ "saw" .

Based on the fact the ball was propelled forwards by the Huddersfield player in the act of passing the ball.

| I can understand his frustration at the forward pass decision because it was blatant but Catalan do get more than their fair share of decisions at home usually - I can't think of many teams who've won the penalty count there to be fair.
That being said, the chairman has to get some kind of punishment for the way over the top outburst and his questioning of officials integrity.

It was passed forwRd left the hands forward, travelled forward, it was without doubt a classic example of a forward pass.

Whether it travelled forward is irrelevant. I've yet to see any footage that shows the ball leaving the hands forward- and none from the vantage point of the official on the side who was in a perfect position to see. If you have then please post a link.
