Watched plenty of him over the years, the difference is I don't watch him through rose tinted glasses. next you'll be saying Brough and Crabtree are international quality.

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.:Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG |

| I would have thought Percival will very shortly knocking on the international door, excellent natural centre just needs a good run of games know to shop window his talents, one for the future sooner than later.

| Watching Cudjoe on Thursday against Leeds gave me cold sweats! Not only at the thought of him playing for England again but how he ever did in the first place. He just doesn't look for his winger! The amount of times he could get his winger in half a yard yet decides to shuffle in with the ball himself is shocking.
Average winger IMO.

I take it you are party to Andersons game plans??? Please do share.
If you look at sarginson and Cudjoes stats they are pretty similar - but Leroy gets through twice as much defensive work. He is a right centre though- not a left.

| Percival is the best young centre in the country by a mile. Only Watkins betters him and that won't be for long.
Watkins has 8 tries and 5 assists in 12 matches.
For those in a differing universe that believe Sarginson is even worthy of being mentioned in the same breath, he has 3 tries and 5 assists in 10.
Percival has 4 tries and 6 assists in 6 games. Basically, he's scored more and created more than Sarginson in a third fewer matches. Had he been fit all season, he'd comfortably be the most creative centre in the league (only Gelling betters him with 8 assists) and probably top scoring centre as well.
Wardle doesn't have the passing game to be an international centre IMO.

| Ooh is this one of those threads where everyone says that a centre that plays for their club is the best and all others are rubbish?
I love these.

| this particular player is better than this particular player because this particular players team has won more games than the other particular player's team.
always amuses me how people use individual players teams' success/lack of as a barometer of how good that player is.

It's both that, and one of those where people use try and assist stats to determine who the better player is.
They're even more fun.

What else would you like to know ?
Percival is the most natural centre this country has produced in years. He runs a centre's line naturally, which immediately puts him well beyond the likes of Sarginson. He has impeccable hands and has improved massively defensively, to the point where he's aggressive and an impact maker in defence. I'd say what separates him are his lines and handling, which are so natural it's unusual.
When he got injured, both he and his winger were top of the list for tries; since he's been hurt, Saints' right winger has barely had a touch. In the 110 minutes since he's back, our right winger has three tries and Percival one. He's also the quickest player at the club and is 20 years old. He's an incredible young talent, alongside Graham and Cunningham the best I've seen Saints produce.
Him and Watkins will be England's centres for years. I only hope we can keep Percival out of the hands of the NRL, already rumours Souths want him.

Thats a big talk up of the lad,he has struck me as a capable player but can't say the little i have seen of him i have thought of the possibility he could become world class however, i admit you see him week to week so have a more educated opinion. I do hope it comes to fruition, we have been starved of top centres for too long.

| i would agree about Percival, looks decent when i've seen him but nothing special, certainly no better than Wardle, Sarginson etc.
but who am i to argue with a saints fan on the subject?
