Think that tonight was the grand final. Sts winning the hub cap is a low class sideshow. Two best sides in the league on show tonight.

| Great game, its how the play offs should be at all times.
Glad thats the end of the current play off format, the only games with the intensity of that tonight usually come at this stage (Wire vs Leeds 2011,Wigan vs Saints 2011 Wigan vs Leeds 2012) when the big guns clash or in the final itself. The other games in these play offs were pant as usual and summed it up really.
Obviously Wigan are big favourites next week but Saints have a chance if they can stand firm in the middle and stay in the game up to the hour mark like Wire did tonight.

No he doesn't.
The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''
He's a limited coach that won't last long term.

| Oh well, another year of listening to our favourite terrace chant off the likes of Salford, Widnes and Hull despite them being nowhere near a cup for decades.

Having attended a couple of coaching forums hosted by Wane, I can tell you he's highly technical in his analysis and approach and extremely knowledgeable. Combine that with his absolute passion for the game and for Wigan, and the strict ethos he has instilled at the club and it's no wonder he's been highly successful.
But if he suckers idiots into thinking he's not capable, good.

There wasn't (and isn't) a rule that coming off the head [iaccidentally [/iis a knock-on.
The [ideliberate [/iuse of the head is a knock-on (courtesy of Mike Mclennan and Big John Harrison's fun and games back in the nineties).
So the Monaghan try was perfectly legal. Accidentally off the head, play-on, touchdown.

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "Such a contrast from the coaches after the game, Smith was his usual magnanimous self. On the other hand, Wane had the gall to make underhand comments about the refereeing decisions
What, one comment?
And he was correct, there were some bizarre decisions, not least the two disallowed tries. Both should have stood, in both cases the receiving player was behind the passer and while the ball travelled forward relative to the ground, it didn't relative to the players. It doesn't help when the passer is stopped dead after passing, but both decisions were wrong. Lockers' pass for the winning try was more forward than either of those.
Apart from that he was highly complimentary of Warrington and took a gentle poke at Yorkshire. But don't let that sour the bitter taste in your mouth.
Great game, Wigan should have been clear by half time but Warrington's defence was outstanding and they almost turned the tide. Defences were on top but that's what wins you the big games. Truly great game.

Why don't you go offer your coaching expertise to Ian Lenegan then?

And you know this how exactly?
Still, when his limited knowledge of the game catches up with Wigan, they can always call on your expertise I suppose.

They were filmed for the WCC in feb and it was on sky sports last night. He was talking about being reckless and knocking people out. He's an ape in a suit.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

So you've seen a segment of a half time team speech on a documentary and are now the expert on a coaches ability, a coach for that matter who incidentally cleaned up last year and has got a team to the grand final for the second year running You'd best get onto Alex Ferguson and tell him he had it all wrong at Man Utd for over 20 years by screaming and shouting and using the hair dryer treatment telling his team to get stuck in.
No doubt you saw all the analysis that went on in the background but choose to ignore it as it would be counter productive to your point.
This was Rugby League the last time I checked. Getting stuck in and under a teams skin is part of the battle. And in that Sydney game the only chance to get anywhere near a team that had the physical edge on us was to get "stuck in and reckless".
But yeah, I'm sure you know much more about Coaching than that big Ape over at Wigan who had the CC and SL Trophy in his hands last year.....

There is no point trying to debate with you as your parochialism has understandably clouded your judgement.
It was an exciting game though.

| Wire shouldn't have had the ball for Monaghans try, talking about the onside/offside is besides the point. Bowen had the ball on the ground just inside the field of play, Atkins picked him up and pushed him back. Penalty Wigan, as soon as he laid a finger on Bowen the tackle was complete.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |
