I would agree.
If the Warriors pack can start dominating a bit in games to give him the platform and they can sort out their pathetic defence on display throughout the Parra game then he will be at least given the chance to prove it.
Very early days.

I'd be more concerned about how the forwards were outmuscled by Parra, the halves created absolutely nothing and the captain is still .

All good players but not all sparklers. It's a subjective opinion but Sam for me is a once a generation type of player and on his day is amongst the best. Even on an off day, playing in a team that is clearly poop, he still managed to produce flashes of brilliance that only a few of the players you've mentioned could manage.

| Total OTT reaction.
Sam had an average game but he wasn't poor. Damn I have seen Greg Inglis, ben barba, billy slater etc all have plenty of average games and drop bombs.
Sam will be fine. Once tommy is back from injury that will help, tommy knows tomkins game inside out. Guessing tommy will be playing hooker more often then in the halves this year. Although i thought TL and Also tommy and Shaun Johnson were a good combination in the 2nd half of 2013 season. He hardly misses tackles so will be a big plus for the warriors
Tomkins will be a huge success. No doubts about that.

See I'm not so sure.
He is far too light for the NRL. He is built like a teenage boy. He seems to have a problem tackling. Everyone knows that in a pressure situation he can be very ordinary under a high ball. 5th tackle...high ball...get your big men to rush him - spilled ball --- 4 points. Easy.
Full back?
NRL player?
Nope on both counts for me.

How arrogant!
If Tomkins isn't NRL standard you must have another 16 who aren't because he was the Warriors best player last week (albeit not at his best). I've not seen the game this week but I believe he was again one of the better players in another poor effort.
Believe me Tomkins is world class. He has mixed his game up in the past 12-18 months and become a really strong creative force and to me that means he should be moved to six. He would thrive in that position with his weaknesses at fullback not being exposed as they are at the minute.
Ultimately he's not playing in as good a side as he was at Wigan over the last few years and he's not playing under a top coach like he was under Maguire and then Wane. He can't work miracles!

If he isn't an NRL player you have a serious problem with your squad. Fisiiahi, Nielson, Hurrell, Vatuvei, Leuluai, Friend, Mateo, Bukuya, Matagi, Lillyman, Henry, Locke, Tuimavave, Townsend, Laumape, Lousi, Ropati... hell the NRL doesn't have enough players to fill more than a couple of teams by that standard...

That's the only place he'll be coming back home to.

Stop being so cynical William, let people believe he’ll back, in the future, when all’s well.
You’ve too much time on your hands now you’ve given up on your “attendance baby”, where is it BTW?

Cynicism is often confused with realism but the game in this country is still struggling to overcome the cancer of Super League franchising. Anyhow, Tomkins has expressed his future plans/desires to play Union on numerous occasions. Beyond the NRL, the game has nothing left to offer. Super League can no longer afford him, nor can it provide the requisite big stage or challenge for players of his ability. Sam Burgess and James Graham know this all too well.

In the pantheon of dumb posts on this forum this one ranks very high.
If I were a Warriors I'd be far more worried about some of your other players and their serious lack of bottle - all NRL trained by the way. The lack of success of your team has little to do with Tomkins and a lot to do with the lack of pride in your shirt shown by your home grown Kiwi players - and this has been the case for years.
Still if you want a two match pom as your whipping boy for the season knock yourself out.

It appears your baby, that you gave up for adoption, due to pressure from Social Services, has disappeared from the radar, similar to the princes in the tower.
The euphoria of the initial increases seems to have passed, interest appears to have waned & my favourite thread looks to have been consigned to the bin .
You could always fight for custody, maybe unfurl a banner on the north stand appealing for justice from Eddie & Stevo.
