In a nutshell...

Lighten up you miserable gits.
After enduring years of Saturday afternoon BBC 2nd half coverage I am just grateful for so much Sky coverage.
People moaned about video ref decisions, but at least we can now see how they are arrived at and with two there minimum margin for error.
People moan about Boots n All.
Well the same people would moan if there was no magazine programme and if you contiue to not watch, that is what you will get .... nothing.

i still cant get over steveos comments about huddersfield putting in a pepperoni performance against wigan! and the fact that we needed to be told that hudderfield had ordered 12 pizzas and protein shakes! belting that! it almost made watching the game worthwhile!! just summed up how bad the commentary actually is!

I thought the announcement was supposed to be a explanation for the decision? They did that once, I think, by saying something like the try scorer was inside and grounded it cleanly but the rest of the time it was just "And the decision is... It's a try." For some reason I kept thinking of Jim Bowen.

I think it's a good addition if they do it properly ... many times I have been left baffled by a video ref decision while at the game, and wanted clarification on why the decision was made rather than waiting to get home.

These are the same people who moaned Boots n All was too daft and light hearted years ago, yet now rave about the NRL Footy Show.

Likewise, the same people who moan about Eddie and Stevo not purely calling the game (why do you need a radio commentary when you can see the pictures?) are embarrassingly obsessed with Andrew Voss, despite him spending most of the World Cup games waffling on about irrelevant rubbish.

RL fans just look for things to moan about, it really is boring.

I think Voss' ramblings were part of the charm - he gave a travelogue of his World Cup experience and seemed genuinely enthused about the game and the places he'd visited. In between, he called the games with knowledge and insight and didn't second guess the officials or dispense vapid advice to the players and coaches about getting the message out or utilizing the skill factor.

I think the problem with Eddie and Stevo is simply that familiarity breeds contempt; Voss was liked because he was new and different. If he did the job for 16 years, people would be fed up of him too.

Good for the casual viewer, if done right. If it's just "And the decision is... A try!" then it's pointless as the screen tells us that much.

You lot need to take a step back and consider how LUCKY we all are living in this day and age with magnificent Rugby League coverage.

Us old timers had to suffer Eddie Waring & Ray French with Floodlit Foggy Rugby League & the second half of a top match - normally at Headingley.

Get a grip and consider how wonderful it is for us to see so much coverage. Its world class.
