| Quote: GiantFalcon "There were about 15 of them fighting and the stewards came in to deal with them they didn't even eject anyone. '"
There were 6 involved in the fight, and the stewards were useless.
As I turned around (it was a couple of blocks over from me, and rows above), a lad in a bright turqouise shirt and a lad in a Hull shirt were swinging at each other. Then the mates of the lad in the Hull shirt backed him up and then all piled onto the guy in turquoise.
It may have looked like more got involved but, from what I could see, they were mainly trying to separate things (although there was a fair bit of verbals).
Stewards did nothing. Took them minutes to react. Eventually the lad in turquoise was dragged away by stewards but he was still screaming, shouting, and running his mouth at everyone around. It looked from that that he would have been the instigator and had bitten off more than he could chew, but I didn't see the very start of it as I was watching the game.
It's embarrassing for all involved and associated when these things happen and there isn't really an excuse for it. Thankfully it wasn't in a position where it would show up on TV and really show up the sport.
All that said, this was the only trouble I saw during all my time down there this weekend despite the large mix of fans (which you might not get with other sports).

| Seems some of our fans had a couple of shandies too many, and the stewards didn't deal with it quickly enough. Pathetic really. Possibly Hull City fans in FC shirts. Oh hang on, they were all at the KC stadium...
Unfortunate, but minor.

This type of statement really es me off. I've attended most of FC's game's at the Stoop as I enjoy a weekend in London and this is always a good excuse to travel. I've never seen any incidents and have stayed in the ground for a couple of hours after the game in the bar enjoying the banter and the live group thats always on. Why do people need to say these things. If you have nothing constuctive to add to a debate/thread say nothing.

Maybe he wrote it because its his experience. It's also my experience that Hull fans are the worst, my club has a larfe amount of idiots aswell and it needs sorting out, you and quite a few hill fans seem to want to try stick your heads in the sand.
I've stopped going to any away games in hull as the last time I went my wife got spat at because she had a Leeds jersey on.

| Leave them to live in denial.
I wont go to either of the Hull grounds and fear the games at the Stoop when they are there.
As the link above proves it was predictable.

| There was trouble towards the end. Stewards stepped in and all was dealt with. BUT I would add this is the case at all finals and not just by Hull fans. So get off your whiter than white high horses. In 2010 I had my nose broken by a Wire fan. Reported it and he was dealt with. I didnt bleat about it on here or consider all Wire fans were the same.
Stewarding is shocking at Wembley. My wife took my kids to the toilet only to see bins being used as urinals. At the same time a disabled toilet was being used by an able bodied person. A steward took exception to this and looked themself in said disabled toilet to prevent it being used by anyone. Turning a blind eye to the bins being used.
I to fail to see why you would spend all the money to buy tickets and travel only to spend the entire day trollied. But thats society at large for you. Not Hull FC fans or Rugby League fans in general. You see fights every week in towns and citys but you wouldnt blame Next or M&S if they were wearing their shirts. True Hull fans were not fighting. True RL fans have not fought before.

| 'True hull fans' is just a nonsense, they are hull fans and skirting the issue does no good.
Hull are not alone, as I say Leeds has quite a number of idiot fans and it needs sorting but in my experience I've seen more trouble with hull fans than any other club.

| I didn't see any trouble involving Hull fans but its a shame that a few idiots have let them down. It isn't just them though, I saw a good few idiots in our end as well. A couple of different groups of lads supporting us with no colours on, off their trees singing only songs that involved swearing then shouting at 'proper' Wigan fans calling them miserable *ast*rds when they wouldn't join in. There was loads of kids about as well. One of these blokes looked like he was high as a kite on something.
Idiots follow all clubs to occasions like these unfortunately.

I have read was was put and I think if you read everything that Graham says then there is a link. Or do you want a link to a media piece verifying this?
Maybe you should engage brain before clicking submit.

| I say this time and time again. They grounds like Wembley & old Trafford have no stewards outside or on the gate to refuse entry for anyone that is very much worst for wear. So once your in your in.

I see your location is NSW must see a lot of SL games from there and I suspect your "experiences" are historical or internet based theory. There was no problems post match in the car park quite the reverse with fans from both clubs exchanging pleasant comments to each other, thats how it should be.
I never saw any trouble yesterday and I suspect neither did 99.9 % of fans attending, there is always an element of drink related incidents at high profile matches like this. Having attended the grand final for a number of year I can say its far worse there then at any Wembley final. At FC we have tried to weed out such behaviour and since 2000 we have been in the forefront of postive action towards those who let us and themselves down.
