Young player of the year for me will go to either.
Ben Crooks
Morgan Escare
And at a push Tom Lineham.

Brough, Farrell & probably Tomkins to contest MOS, although I would personally like to see Kirmond in top 3, think he has been awesome this year

Cheers. My back-row's been thrown wide open now I've remembered the year Brett Ferres has had.
I'll have a shot at the full side. Alterations could be made.

| Well it appears that the World's Best Winger has fallen from grace. Only 1 poster (and a Hull fan at that) has picked Hall. I can only think everyone else is basing their selections on current form, because on that basis he wouldn't be anywhere near the team.

| Hall is being fine, in fact I would say more than fine, he is being criminally under used by Leeds tactics and seeing next to no ball in good positions. He is still working hard and making good metres, still very good in defence in quality under the high ball (other than the dolly he dropped last night, which was probably the easiest catch he has had all season) and still finishing the opportunities he does get as well as creating some for himself and others. He isn’t setting the world on fire like he has for the last few years, but he is still in my opinion the best winger in the competition by a fair margin

Yep, agree with that lineup (with a Lunt/Houghton for now).

| I'm a little surprised at how many people have selected Moon. He started the season fairly well, and throws the odd wonder pass, but, like many of his Leeds teammates, he's been pretty average in alot of games - infact, although he's been injured for parts of the year, I'd choose Watkins over Moon. It's probably more a reflection of how poor the standard of centre play is in Superleague.
For what it's worth...
Tomkins
Charnley
Watkins
Crooks
Lineham
Brough
Dobson
Casty
Aiton (Love how he plays the game, could easily have chosen Lunt/Houghton though)
Peacock
Cory Paterson
Kirmond
O'Loughlin

| I don’t get where this idea that Leeds have been terrible comes from? Had we not suffered that huge injury list for a month or two over may/june where we lost 3 out of 4 games we would be up there with Wigan, Wire and Hudds challenging for top spot yet apparently everyone bar Peacock has been rubbish.

Other than Peacock, who has had a stand out year at Leeds? I've been to nearly every game, and can safely say the team have coasted for large parts of the year. Yes they've still won plenty, and had the odd good performance, but mostly, they've taken advantage of how poor the strength in depth of the league is and taken things fairly easy. They've done enough, without having to perform at a high leel week in, week out. I think that's why players from other teams who need to bust a gut week after week are taking the plaudits for Dreamteam selection. The likes of Crooks, Lineham, Brough, Lunt, Houghton, Ferres, Kirkmomd etc can't afford to have a few weeks of mediocracy as the team around them need them firing every week, otherwise there is a good chance they'll be turned over.

| And Crooks, Lineham, Houghton, Kirmond have been turned over a large number of times. There is no way on earth that Crooks has been a better player than Watkins or Moon this year. He may have over-performed compared to expectation but he simply hasn’t been up to their level. Houghton has had a good year, but he isn’t a patch on James Roby and hasn’t been this year even though Roby has missed some through injury. There is a performance/expectation issue going on here.
If Jamie Peacock has been the only player to drag Leeds to where they are right now (taking in to account where they could have been) then he would be the clearest winner of the MoS in the history of the award, he is, pretty much single handedly, the 4th best team in SL, That is pretty much what we are saying here, that 36 year old Jamie Peacock is the 4th best team in SL.

Quite a few marginal calls, this was one of them. Tbh I had Crooks & Watkins in my original selection, I was just looking for a left sided centre. Surprised Mickey Paea doesn't appear in many of the teams here, the stand out prop this year imo.

Tell me a Super League winger that's had a better year? Tom Lineham's gone well for us but I don't believe he should be in the Dream Team. I think Ryan Hall suffers from his own quality. People are expecting him to score tries with wonder finishes week-in week-out but it just doesn't happen. He's been above average for the year.
