as a hull fan i'll hold my hand up, rovers were robbed, they were the better side in attack and deserved a win. that said given how poor hull were for 65 mins rovers should have been much further ahead come the final 10 minutes.
In fact its a very similar game to last time, when hull should have been out of sight, but they took their foot off the gas and rovers came back to win aided by a shocking forward pass decision by - steve ganson!

we got lucky, played badly yet won, another 2 points in the bag. if we somehow beat leeds (who are having a shaky spell) at the KC and we could be in third place in the table, with jacob miller possibly to come in for that game there are a lot of good signs at the moment. onwards and upwards. has ganson ruled that nobody was in 10 metres of eden when the ball 1st bounced, and that it bounced back ten metres toward the chasers putting them onside ? . or if a ball has sufficient back spin n the defender does not take it do the chasers have to retreat away from the ball as it bounces back toward them ?

Ganson should come out and state why he gave it. If it was a mistake he should admit it. Refs make mistakes but not with numerous camera angles when it's as obvious as that one.

get real, at the end of the day this is a game of rugby, if we go down this route there will be legal action coming out of every game with a dodgy decision. there have been worse decisons, maradona handball, spurs 'goal' at old trafford a few years at least a metre over the line, lampards world cup 'goal' to name just 3 from football. i remember a dodgy lee smith try for leeds v bradofrd a few years back in this very same event. mistakes happen from players and officials its part of the game. what goes for you one week goes against on another occasion, that my friend is sport

The 10m only applies from where the player (in this case Eden) first touches the ball. As Eden doesn't touch the ball that doesnt apply.

The attackers have to retreat back 10m from the point the ball is first touched OR the kicker plays them on-side, if they were stood in an offside position when the kick was taken. It was a Hull KR penalty back just over half way & Ganson made the mother of all cock-up's & one that should probably cost him his job... it was that bad I am afraid!

He didn't touch it & Ganson never asked to see any close-up shots to even check if he had. Ganson made a blatant error, it was a game changing call & he got it wrong!

All the camera angles show it is a no try! He can't say he couldn't get a decent angle, players blocking camera view etc. If he says I made a mistake as his reason which with that situation is impossible to do so (You would of thought)! If he just gets a slap on the wrist then whats stopping them from doing things like that in the future? I can only imagine that a Hull FC fan had tied Ganson up in a cupboard and hit the try button!

Its not as if it was a 50/50 call. I just dont see how he could have got something so clear so wrong.
