1) There aren't enough quality players in this league
2) Teams are going to be reluctant to let any of their quality go as it will be difficult to replace
3) Koukash hasn't just shown his hand he has had posters made up and stuck up all over Rugby town about his attitude to making signings.

Just because he has made a fortune doesn't mean that you won't end up getting fleeced by clubs, players and their agents. Top clubs can offer less money with the benefit of challenging for trophies in front of large crowds. Salford can offer neither and therefore need to offer extra cash as an incentive.

Well, one of his 100 horses has just won at Chester. He got his name and that of the Salford City Reds in The Times sports pages today.

He also has a horse a running today at Chester, 3.50 called Salford Red Devil.

And as I've posted on the Salford forum, if this was the other way round it would have been interesting to see much Cas would have been fined given their financial plight. I guarantee it wouldn't have been 10k!!!!
