Brian Noble, Daryl Powel, theres plenty in the championships too. Or here's a crazy idea, why don't clubs actually start naturing their assistants so when the first team coach leaves, they can appoint them like we have done with Cummings, Wigan with Wane, Catalans with Frayssinous. Funny how them teams seem to be doing pretty well at the moment.

Are there no local Coaches able to take the Helm of a also ran club like KR?
If not why not not? its hardly the toughest assignment in World Sport is it?
Surely there is a PLAN to develop first grade Coaches isn't there?

And obviously because of that he must never be given another opportunity ever again regardless of what he's learned since. It's far better to pick a totally unproven Aussie because they always turn out to be amazing.

I was saying that in response to this obsession about promoting assistants from within. The Lowes scenario just shows that it doesn't always work.

Andd i'm saying a lot of the time it does work as the league table shows. Hardly an obsession. Now put your toys back in your pram!

| Craig Sandercocks main reason was the fact that our game V Cas was changed from the friday to the sunday night,
Ian MIllward said exactly the same after Rovers V Cas game, when interviewed that the game should have been played friday or Saturday like everybody else's.
The coaches DO get on with it but obviously dont agree with it and are entitled to their own opinions.

| Funny how those coaches whining the loudest are the ones that failed to prepare their teams adequately for Monday and got stuffed as a result.
They gave themselves and their players an easy way out with their pre-emptive dummy spitting, and the players took it wholeheartedly.
Wigan used 20 players over the two games, Leeds used 18. The difference is that both of those clubs have coaching and conditioning staff that know how to look after their players, and get them in the right frame of body and mind to back up.

Hull tried by promoting Agar from assistant to head coach and he managed to take the club backwards by about 5 years.
Do you not find it stange that Brian Noble has been available for such a long time??

You mean after winning the Grand Final 3 times, topping the table twice, making the Grand Final 5 years in a row, winning the Challenge Cup, winning 3 World Club Challenges, taking Wigan from near relegation to near the Grand Final and somehow dragging Crusaders into the playoffs?

| The assistants that seem to be doing well are the ones that have followed on from a previously successful coach. Noble followed Elliott. Wane followed Maguire. Anderson has followed from Brown. The other promoted assistants haven't exactly done much. From my experience, they seem to make the same mistakes. Jimmy Lowes. Agar. Powell.
They need someone to learn from first before they step up.
