ANYTHING is better than the wolfs winning.'"
As a Wire fan, I'm loving this type of attitude to a possible Primrose and Blue victory.....
What's so apparent is that it is 99% Wiganers who hold this view towards us - The reason being that they hate the thought of themselves not being the best side and it scares them less when any side (us, Leeds, anybody) shows any ambition or any threat towards their self presumed greatness.
It all smells of the envy that was directed towards Man City supposedly 'buying' the Premier League.....Most of that just stemmed from the established top dogs sensing a threat to their comfortable status quo.
Whatever happens on Saturday, for Wire to be there is actually a great example for any ambitious side in the future.....A side like Hull or Widnes, who are displaying similar ambitions to Wire, will undoubtedly use our recent success as an example of what can be acheived when you get things correctly in place at all levels.

| Warrington for me. Actually I don't particularly want either team to win, but I'd rather Leeds lose. If that makes sense.
No team should be able to lose 11 games, scrape into 5th place on points difference and become "champions". It's not just because it's Leeds.
Warrington have been the better team all year - probably better than Wigan at their best though the league table says otherwise. As much as I'd love the 'Year of the Wolfs' banter to carry on, they play fantastic RL at times and would be far more deserving champions.
Whatever, I'll be having a good day/night out.

| Whoever finishes top at the end of 27 rounds should be champions, none of this antipodean nonsense.
As neither was I'm hoping for a Leeds victory. They do things the right way, apart from the coach who's the biggest moaner since Linda Lovelace, and their side is chock full of players they've brought through the ranks.
As for Warrington, let's hope they have learnt from others' mistakes and don't upset their accountant!

Leeds are the champions and rightly so. How many times do they need to 'fluke the final' before they get some recognition?
Unbelievable achievement added to an unbelievable run of success.

It's not a case of them fluking it, they fully deserved to win tonight (as they did last year), but there is a real fissure now between the regular season and the playoffs. Leeds are champions of the 2012 playoffs. They can't, in all seriousness, be considered the champions of the whole of Super League. And that isn't to detract from their success, it's just being honest in acknowledging that their success was in the playoff competition, not the regular season.

| Posted this already but it applies here. Remember we are champions and WCC and got to the cup final. It doesn't make a mockery of SL it's just player management.
Those who think it makes a mockery of the game simply don get it, or its sour grapes.

No, Leeds are the champions. If you can't accept that, tough.

| Like I said on another thread
In the U.S they call it "Clutch" which means beating the BEST when it matters!! it is the most important attribute to them
We have played 4 weeks of brutal RL at the highest level, leaving everything on the field for 4 weeks running
The players could hardly celebrate the played so hard tonight!
CLUTCH BABY !!
