Which they have.

Quote: Starbug "but in fact , no they dont'"

Yes they do. It may not be a legally binding one but they have an obligation nonetheless. Although I am aware that the administrator will hardly be worried about such niceties.

In actual fact the RFL statement doesn't say that they felt they [ishould[/i have had advanced notice, just that they didn't have any and are meeting with the administrator to find out exactly what's going on.

"Firstly administration is an attempt to find a way for the club to continue. IF IF IF this fails New Co set-up. New Co acquires the assets of old co (after the big boys have had their "meal"icon_wink.gif. New Co end up with some players it owns, some players on loan to the end of the season and the name but most importantly none of the debts. New Co then agrees with the RFL (with the support of SKY ......oh and Im sure they will ask the other teams as well) to step into the void to fulfil a temporary vacancy within the superleague structure and fulfil the remaining fixtures of old co.

End of season applications made by all relevant parties to fulfill the vacancy based on normal SL application criteria......Prediction Halifax promoted in place of "Bradford 2012".

As for the rules allowing it, dont know the specific regulations but in previous season it has been stated that "provisions are available should a team find it impossible to fulfil its fixtures""

I posted this a week ago and I still think its what will happen in the end. Clubs who take on Bradford players and then loan them back will be given special dispensation by the RFL that these wages will not count towards the cap until next year. The "obligation" being taken over by the buying club will include a factoring of the wages they will be playing (eg:- Wolves buy bateman for £300k, wages to end of season £180k, hand over £120k). The action taken by the adminsitrator is nothing unusual and they have absolutely no obligation whatsoever to inform the RFL of their actions prior to taking them. If the action leave Bradford in a position of having fulfilment obligations it is those who have been tasked with the day-to-day running that must now do so. I think that Bradford will play this weekend against Bronocs and then there will be 2 weeks for them to sort the next step out (with Bradford not being involved in the CC semis).

Something must have been wrong, you don't go from being a good franchise application to near bankruptcy in such a short space of time. Also, I don't have much faith in these so called financial 'experts', look at the state the country is in, never mind Bradford Bulls

Usually administrators will try to keep a business operating whilst they look for a buy out or best way to recoup money for bad debts. This action will make it very hard for the club to keep operating. Maybe they realise there is no hope of selling them and are cutting any further expenditure whilst they sell off what little assetts remain?

There may be no legal responsibility, however there are things such as corporate ethics and given the club's stature and importance in the game I would have expected the management at the club to have contacted the RFL prior to executing this decision. Any argument otherwise is effectively condoning bad management practice and possible corruption.

That said, it's not beyond the realms of fantasy to suggest that perhaps the club did inform the RFL of this, because it would facilitate the finding of a new buyer, who will only invest if the club's personnel were thrown out onto the streets. In such an instance the RFL could not be seen to have anything to do with this although I would not be surprised if, in private, they have sanctioned this move to help speed up the process.

In about 4/5 years after starting again from C1 with a supporters trust at the helm I can see Bradford back in SL with an investor back on board.

5 pages in and no sympathy shown to the Loyal Bull Fans, some who have sent monetary donations. Hope the Bulls win every game fom now on.
When will the RFL realise something has to change in the way we run our game, McManus has already voiced his concern months ago, Lewis has jumped ship and Wood says the game is in good shape.

Quote: Judder Man "5 pages in and no sympathy shown to the Loyal Bull Fans, some who have sent monetary donations. .'"

I have every sympathy for the loyal bulls fans, as I would for the small core of supporters that stick by their club through everything. I started watching Huddersfield when they were the bottom of the heap and the life support was about to be turned off and so I really do have every empathy for them.

That doesnt stop me from thinking they were foolish to give up their money to prop up the bad administration that had led them to that position.

Quote: Judder Man "Hope the Bulls win every game from now on.'"

Why? Chances are they will lose every single point.

Quote: Judder Man "When will the RFL realise something has to change in the way we run our game'"

Its up to the clubs to run their ships properly, the Bulls gambled on bigger crowds and uplifted merchandise sales. It didnt pay off and they didnt balance their books and are now paying the price. This is NOTHING to do with the RFL in any way shape or form.

Does the game need more money? Yes. Is this the same situation for EVERY OTHER sport? Yes, so can we please stop these ridiculous statements blaming the RFL or suggesting they do something outside their power?

Quote: Judder Man "McManus has already voiced his concern months ago'"

McManus jumped on a bandwaggon that almost certainly had more to do with politics than wanting to improve the game.

Quote: Judder Man "Lewis has jumped ship'"

No, he got a better offer and had done as much as he could probably - probably as much as anyone could until we took the power in the game away from club chairmen.

Quote: Judder Man "and Wood says the game is in good shape'"

Attendences are up, viewing figures on TV are up, the league is even more competative than ever, the National side has genuine competition for places...yes, its in good shape.

So this weekend aren't they hosting London? If so who is actually running game day?

I'm guessing the security firms and stewards will demand money upfront. Will their be a bar open in the ground? Will the place even unlocked?
