| There's always an excuse - Kick off time, opposition, Premier League finish, prices
At the end of the day it was a terrible turn out for a good team in a big game.
If they'd switched it to London, they might have got a bigger gate
People talk about expansion teams bringing nothing to the table, but some of the founder members need to take a look at themselves.

If only attendances won you trophies, eh?

I like the Giants. Just think if they can't get a crowd now, they never will.
Good team, big away attendances, cheap season tickets, good ground. Just poor home support.

If only eh? Like to remind us all what you've won, irrespective of your sh*t support.

| Leigh got over 5,000. Fev got over 4,000 in the last round. Catalans got 11,000. Huddersfield get 2,500 for a CC quarter final against another SL team with a team full of internationals and chasing a league and cup double. Huddersfield is still a Football town. They will probably get ocer 15,000 for their third tier playoff game this next week.
Huddersfield Giants have a long way to go to claim the allegiance of sports fans in their town.

| I know its been reported as 11000 at Catalans, but there is no way that is correct. I'm sure it will be corrected.

| Ken Davy must be scratching his head thinking "how much money must I shovel into this pet project before the people of Huddersfield start shovelling theirs my way"?
Keep shovelling Ken.

| It was a nothing fixture, really. Only heard the score after the match had finished.
"50-14? Oh"
While on the other side of the Pennines, the culmination of the football league season captures the imagination of millions, if not billions.
There is something seriously apathetic directed from League fans toward their own sport these days, in both League and Cup. It feels like there's something [imissing[/i and soulless about today's game. Anyone willing to place concrete into these abstractions?

| firstly - that is not a 'normal' crowd , we dont get 2,500 crowds usually , there were reasons for it being that low - there was only 500 more for Widnes v Saints in last round, cup crowds are low all over .........now if we were to get 2,500 in our next league game then i may start to worry...............till then i will enjoy my team's exciting brand of entertaining rugby and look forward to been 80 minutes away from another cup final - that was the prize for winning todays game BTW !!

Exactly, 4000 HTFC fans went to MK dons for a 12.30 kick off for a 3rd division football match yesterday - as long as i've been following Fartown we've always had the problem of the people of Huddersfield preferring to watch the football team than the rugby.
Nothing us rugby fans can do to change their mind.
