| Only been to one away match this season (at Cas) but I've bought a ticket for 2 days at the Magic Weekend and I'll watch every minute of every match. Really looking forward to it. It's a bargain and I can't understand why more won't go.

If we Salford take 4k i'll happily streak during our game. We will 1.5k max. And even then im being optimistic.

| I thought the whole point of people crying out for M62 location was because they wanted to see the stadium full.
60k over two days is no more than cardiff. This should be minimum 40,000 each day!
no excuses, the fans need to do better!

| Travelling up with brother from London. If this doesn't fill 40k both days then its a failure big time. This is on the doorsteps of the m62 clubs and if its a failure they might as well not bother with another event.
This should be pretty much a sell out.

| There should be a decent turnout from locals hopefully.
I live in Didsbury in Manchester and there are alot of billboards up advertising the event (at least the last month or two now). There's adverts on the electronic boards on the inner ring road and was on the manchester council website the other day and it was on the homepage.
Even just watching the Manchester derby just seen it on the electronic boards that run alongside the pitch.
Good work RFL

| Smart move from the RFL to advertise the Magic Weekend at the City/United match, an estimated 650 million people are watching!

The RFL making a smart move where promoting the game is concerned is a refreshing change!

If it hadn't been for the Leeds support on one of the worst days of the year at Salford they wouldn't have broken 3 figures yesterday. We took good support to Widnes and StHelens as well this season so it would appear you're talking out of your 'arris.

| If we don't get 40k minimum each day then it's hard to see a future for this fixture.

I think you sound deluded... my views...
Wigan 3k
Saints 3k
Hull 4k
KR 2.5k
Wire 3k
Widnes 2k
Bradford 2k
Leeds 3k
Huddersfield 2k
Salford 2k
Wakey 2k
Cas 2k
London/Catalans 1k
Locals not into RL 0.5k
And thats me been very over optimistic.
Hull FC have sold the most @ 3.5k, not long left for any offers from clubs and most people that are looking to go have already made the decisions and planned.
I also think the RFL have brought it to the M62 at a last ditch attempt to make it work; i see this been the last of these magic weekends and something else thought up.

| Wigan drawing Saints in the cup will reduce the number of people from both sides going who haven't already bought a ticket, it's becoming a farce how often we play them.

| does anyone know if Swinton, Rochdale or Oldham are taking advantage of having the Magic weekend around, like London Skolars do for the cup final? That could bring one of those clubs a large gate if they played on the friday?

By poor attendances, perhaps this is what the fans want! The idea scrapped, a fair fixture list of 26 games and money saved by the cancellation of the latest of just a long line of rushed gimmicks by the RFL?

Swinton, who play in Leigh, play on the Friday night. Can't see their gate really being effected though, most 'weekenders' may just make it a Sat / Sun thing. Regardless, its a bit far out and difficult to get to via train for anyone to bother going out that way, which is a shame.
