Rd-10 Brisbane vs Manly - SUNCORP - Double Header
Gold Coast vs Bulldogs - SUNCORP - Double Header

Rd-15 Gold Coast vs Penrith - SKILLED
Rd-16 Brisbane vs Souths - SUNCORP·
In Round 17 Suncorp hosts the State of Origin on Wednesday and then the Broncos vs Sharks on the Friday night.·
In the same period from (Apr 27th - June 25th) Brisbane Lions AFL play 4 home games and the Reds play 2 home games. Gold Coast Suns play 4 home games.·
In the article it says "Brisbane Bombers bid chief Craig Davison expressed shock at the limited number of NRL games in Brisbane. "We talk about Queensland being the leading rugby league state, I've got more of a chance of seeing an AFL or union game than an NRL game," Davison said." This is a farcical ill-informed statement for the following reasons; From the period they are talking about in the article - 4th May - 18th June (between rounds 9 and 15)the Queensland Reds have 1 home game at Suncorp and the Brisbane Lions have 3 home games at the Gabba. So to say that he has more chance of seeing an AFL or a Super 15 game is wrong.· The story speaks about 3 games in 45-day period, but that is not abnormal (hardly newsworthy) - the Broncos get 12 home games a year and so the 3 games in 6 weeks (42 days) is on average a game every two weeks which is normal. It is really ridiculous that the story would describe it as an "virtual NRL blackout during the next six weeks"· It is a period during rep footy where teams are having bye weekends also - Brisbane and the Gold Coast both have a bye in rd-11 When you look at the facts it's hard to see how they write up such a clearly biased story except to come to the conclusion that the Courier Mail have a clear agenda for a Brisbane team in the NRL.
On top of that Brisbane had 16 NRL matches last year, not the "12"

RIVAL BIDDERS TO BE TABLE-MATES
BRISBANE Bombers managing director Craig Davidson was quick to reply to criticism from the rival Central Queensland NRL franchise bid team. (The Ear May 7) "We have a number of bidding teams and each is as passionate as the other and the final decision will no doubt be made in conjunction with various media groups. The decision will be what is best for the game," he wrote. And Craig revealed he would be catching up with CQ bid boss Geoff Murphy at the State of Origin Naming of the Team dinner tonight as he believed they were on the same table.
