I sincerely hope so , just to see the moaning that would result from SL fans having to travel midweek as the Championship fans have had to for a few years now

Premier League is on TV in England at 1245pm and 515pm on saturday, 130pm and 4pm on sunday and 8pm on monday on a regular basis.'"
I did slightly understimate the number of games, there are 138 games live on Sky and ESPN, meaning 3.6 games per week.
It's very rare to get 5 in one weekend.

No it isn't, 5 games is the norm. You aren't factoring in the weekends when there are no PL fixtures for things like the FA Cup and Internationals. When it is a 'normal' PL weekend there are always 5 games shown.

His/her figure were based on 138 televised games divided by the number of rounds (3icon_cool.gif which obviously comes out at 3.6, now if 5 was the norm that would mean 190 games shown, so either the number of games is significantly greater than 138 or 5 is definitely not the norm. When he/she said per week they probably mean round of fixtures.

| Sky have got the coverage of RL pretty much spot on IMO. Friday night games are the preferred choice of a few clubs now and the likes of Wigan seem to have the marketing of the less "popular" or TV games pretty much in hand....Salford, wth their new ground, really need to push the Friday Night games, what with the 2 soccer teams pretty much playing every other night at some stage of their season....
Saturday evening is again spot on, IMO, as it leaves Sunday afternoon free for attending games......Soccer will always dictate the KO times and programming of other sports in the UK...RL is treated pretty well by SKY and let's not forget how much coverage the game would get without them....let alone where we'd be without their money......I mean without Ruperts Money Wigan would still be Challenge Cup Holders...
What the OP doesn't understand is exactly just how big soccer is in the UK, which is perfectly understandable given he lives in NSW and doesn't understand anything outside his own back yard.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

The last point is correct - Eels has no understanding of the importance of soccer here. An example BBC 5 Live is a public service broadcaster this is a typical week of 7-11 Mon/Friday, 12-8 Sat/Sun
Monday - Live PL and discussion
Tuesday - Live Champions League
Wed - Live Champions League
Thur - Live Europa League
Friday - Soccer discussion 7-10
Sat - Live games back to back 12-5, 5-8 various soccer discussional stuff
Sun - Live games back to back 12-6, discussional soccer programmes until 8
If the CL/EL is not on they will have any soccer they can find - this week FA Cup replay between 2 4th division sides. The PL stopped them having 3 games back to back on Saturday and Sunday due to saturation issues so what do they do they start live broadcasts of the championship. No other sport has a chance - they put RL on a digital channel that is impossible to follow in the car.
The fact you have nothing much else to do but watch 7/8 games of RL a week should be a real concern to you? Maybe you need to get out a bit more?

| FFS, all I was asking is simple, would a 3rd game be any good and would you support it, yet the idiots like Hornsgle and Sad Paradise have come in and twisted to make it look like I expect you to get every flipping game of the round shown bloody live.
You two trolls can go %%% yourselves.

| How about delayed coverage of a Sunday game around 9pm with Bill Arthur,O'Connor and McDermott plus a round up of the rest of the weekend action instead of the dross we get on SSN at 9:30?Sure we had something similar to this in the 90s.

Yes Sky used to do this when it was still the Stones Bitter Championship. The programme was called 'The Big League'.
