| Quote: Dally "Whatever the crowd is it'll be bigger than it would have been up north. London internationals always are.'"
Aye, that's the bottom line.
No doubt attending wembley is more expensive than travelling to a ground oop North but when we couldn't even fill Leigh's modest ground slap bang in the middle of the heartland we can't object to a game being played at the national stadium.
People attend games that seem like big events (hence the reason that 30 or 40 thousand neutral fans go to the CC final at Wembley every year). Playing an international at a modest ground in the heartlands doesn't seem like an event.

| Quote: AJ Carr "Do you suppose the Aussies will be embarrassed if Uate scores the winning try?'"
Maybe the fact that Uate moved to Australia around 10 years ago as an emigrant and played all of his Junior football on the NSW central Coast and moved through the grades to become an Australian Passport holding Test player makes a difference.
English people have a problem with economic refugees that move to Australia and end up in the Rugby League culture and system that Australia has.
How many players have Australia poached that were developed and trained in another Nation?

| Quote: Sal Paradise "We are in a recession, Christmas is just over the horizon this is a family sport where family comes first. To go to Wembley is going to cost a family £200+ that is a lot of money for a game of rugby. I appreciate soccer fans put soccer before anything thankfully RL fans have a bit more perspective.'"
We are not in a recession, our economy grew last quarter, although if people keep talking about it we soon well be.

People aren't going because they don't want to go and that is a worrying thought'"
But you have to get there a 400 mile round trip will not be cheap in petrol add that cost when you get there parking programme, drinks, food etc and the opportunity cost of attending - this is not soccer.

I think there's a decent crowd in there and much better than it would be for anywhere else in this country for that game.

| Quote: Banielates "Tomorrow is the biggest game rugby league has had in this country in well over decade. Possibly in the super league era. We'd had various finals and semi's in that time, most of which played in the heartlands.
But this is at wembley, outside of the heartlands, to a mass audience. This is a massive game. Wembley has been a special place for Rugby league over the years, and our record against the aussies there isn't bad. Tomorrow everyone needs to bring their A game. From the players (of both teams) producing a spectacle (specifically one involving england WINNING) to the fans creating a great atmosphere.
LET'S HAVE EM!'"
No it isn't.

Well from Wigan or Bradford to Stanmore it's 380miles (Wigan/Bradford being the furthest English based SL clubs from Wembley)
Tube from Stanmore to Wembley park & back for 4 £10.40
380 miles Petrol @ 45mpg £51 (Given other SL towns/cities are closer that's a maximum cost in reality unless yer driving a tank!)
4 tickets for entry £40.
If you're mug enough to buy the food in the ground then that's up to people to choose but £200 for a family it isn't!
people make excuses and just can't be d at the end of the day, then whinge when they can't get £10 tickets as they left it too long to decide & use that as a reason not to attend.
