Perhaps the money was spent on facilities to play a sport that there was significant demand for. It's not like you come across netball pitches outside school grounds.

Well he's got his own squad this season, not what was left him by Mc Dermott. On paper it looks a much stronger than a London squad has for a long time, and we've spent pretty much up to the salary cap so I'm willing to see how he goes with it this season. I think we had a realistic finish last season with a rookie coach and a weak squad, but this season Powell has better players at his disposal and the experience of last season to learn from. Quietly confident maybe? Certainly more hopeful of a better finish for the coming season.

To be fair, Women's football is one of the fastest growing games in the world at the mo. Should have been spent to get more women into mud wrestling or some such.

Slightly ignorant of what the £1m actually does, aren't you?

A sport cruely denied Olympic status.

Blissfully aware that it is a social program in a sporting guise.

| I always wanted the retro 'Fulham' top you brought out a bit back. Never could get my hands on it.
Was it a anniversary one?

Yup, we've done that twice now, and very nice they were too.

| Part of me is hoping you choose that as an away kit next year.
I'll keep looking on auction sites until then!

Well jolly good for you old love. I wouldn't go on about us being in SL on a technicality, London Fulham Crusader Bronco Harlequins B team RLFC have been little more than a whim/technicality/grand failure/drain on the game since day 1980. I was there at your biggest ever game and it's been downhill ever since
