And you've been shown up for it YET again. You should just give up and stop embarrassing yourself. Roosterbooster did when he tried to suggest the number of TAFEs in NSW has any bearing on the AURL. You should take his lead.

WEST COAST PIRATES NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg

Great result. On a side note we hosted the BARLA GB team in Perth last month and they were a credit to the British game and played well. They won the 3 club games but lost the rep game against a WA state rep team.

Did I? Really? More of your supposition again ECT.

Thanks to roughyedspud providing us with facts on how you can qualify for the AURL side, as opposed to your usual guesswork and theory that you provided, because you once played RL at uni, added to the "I'm Australian therefore I know more than you" attitude, is a bit embarassing to read that you can qualify from being at TAFE and college as opposed to what you were saying. AGAIN. I merely highlighted to my friends back in the UK the number of TAFEs in NSW and QLD that could provide opportunity for selection.

Australia lost to GB. I guess that may have hurt you mate and you felt the need to make excuses, but really. Maybe you should look at other more sporting australians like hindyscrack for a lesson in humility and see if you can congratulate the winning side, rather than making excuses for why your side lost.

Also you didn't respond about whether Uni players had played for Junior Rep sides or have been coached by NRL, NSWRL or QRL coaches or teams. Here's a little pic showing a player called Brandon Lee who played for Sydney Uni, trialling for Norths in 09, the coach taking the session is someone you probably recognise.

Ten words for those wanting to see RL grow 'If it is to be, it is up to me'.:

Great result for the GB boys and University RL at the international level. Having been an interested spectator at the 2005 and 2008 Student World Cups in Brisbane it is great to see the boys from the northern hemisphere pick up some silverware. Sets up a great series for when the next meet (???).

Unfortunately I didn't hear about the recent games here in my Brisbane until after the 1st Test was played and I had plans for when the second test was on.

On the representative aspect, Jordan Atkins (ex Gold Coast Titans / Now Parra Eels) played for Australian Universities in 2005.

Well done GB.
I was not aware of these games going on, I would have liked to have gone to one if I had known.

Well done GB students.

It's fantastic that they are playing under the banner of GB instead of that faux country banner of England.

We might be crap at professional level internationally but at least our students are showing the way.

British students by plenty!

You're the one trying to suggest that TAFE students play for the Australian Universities, which is complete bull. I could point to the fact that any student in the entire UK "could" play for the GB side, but that would be a stupid thing to say, akin to union people claiming four billion people "could" have watched their WC final. TAFEs have never provided players to AURL teams and to suggets they do or could is a complete lie. If you know anything about the AURL you would know this. But once again you don't know what you're on about. Let's face it, outside the North Sydney Bears you know virtually nothing about Australian RL.

Once again read what I said rather than jumping to conclusions. Players are elligible from TAFE are there are loads of TAFES. Said nothing more.

Still no response to the question on reps players playing for Uni. Bodyswerve!!! How many of your losing team have played rep footy?

It was indeed, and a refreshing sideshow interlude from the usual @rse-kickings the professionals of Super League relentlessly embarrass us all with on the international stage.

I support GB in Rugby League along with the rich historical international RL history which that all entails.

I don't support some brand named, populist, chav wear sports gear entity called England.

I'm reliably informed that British Students also beat their Australian counterparts at drinking yards of ale too.

British Students by plenty!
