Why ? , We have to make do with a league of 11 , including Toulouse , Championship 1 makes do with 10 including Gateshead , Skolars and SWS

My point was that these two teams were poor a few years back pulling in poor crowds, not competing like Salford are now, and now Wire and Huddersfield are two of the best teams in the competition. Huddersfields crowds have doubled and Warrington have already outgrown their stadium. All i'm saying is you can't just write a team off because they're struggling at the moment.

Because it would mean that a team would have to play others team up to 4 times (5 or 6, if drawn in CC or Play-Offs) to constitute a meaningful fixture calendar - which, would produce fatigue amongst supporters, and devalue the games as a whole.
As a product, an elite competition featuring 8 teams would be too exclusive and centralised to the detriment as the sport as a whole. It wouldn't necessarily be marketable as a sport, to imply that 8 teams can "cut-it", as it were. It would make the sport seem more esoteric, and command less respect in the market place.

If you re read the O/P , they suggest a 14 match competition with represen tative games interspliced within the season , and clubs recieving more TV money than they currently do

I don't agree with that, either. That's a ridiculous number of times - and although, this is meant impartially (though, probably not sounding like it), it is better that the top-tier doesn't succumb to such obstacles.

Fine , so they play each other twice and one MM weekend giving a 15 game season , and they all get 2.2 million from SKY , as the games would all be closer and clubs would have more British players the attendances at them would increase and everything would be tickety boo
Better prep for the International games and probably bigger crowds at the Challenge cup matches as well
I'd go for it , its a winner
SUPER DUPER league

As Derek from Spinal Tap once said, "That's a cozy ten minutes." How long will this season actually last? From March till June? Super League will need a jazz odyssey!
