So, you think that Yeaman is the a wingers centre then?'"
He's showing he is a quality centre so far this season, as most are commenting.

I think he is a good player
What I said was that he is not a wingers centre - a good wingers centre will make many opportunities for their outside man, I don't see this with Yeaman (and I'm not just picking on him, the same criticism can be levelled at Ryan Atkins etc)
Again, do you disagree?

Who is a good English "winger's" centre?
Him and Briscoe are scoring plenty of tries this year in a poor team. They aren't letting many in down that side (most of Hull's tries this year have come down Will Sharp's side as he is always caught on the overlap).
Yeaman seems to be backing up well and creating his own tries, as is Briscoe.
I don't see many decent left centres in the SL at the moment, and Yeaman is having a great season. He's not exactly old or past it. He's coming into the prime of his career, and he didn't disappoint the last time he played at this level. I think he deserves a chance, myself. Better than putting someone like Lee Smith there again (a real winger's centre!) or a youngster that clearly isn't ready and will probably just lose confidence.

Perhaps your problem is you think that one player makes a team? As that is all we are talking about here, one player. And you're talking about a team?
Even before we were actually playing well this season, Yeaman has been by far one of the few stand out players for us. Says something in a poor side.

We don’t have many, that’s for sure
I think the closest thing we have to a classic centre, one who looks to make space for his winger with clever positioning, running and good handling is Bridge... all the rest are in the ‘athletic’ category... which is not a bad thing if we build our game plan around it (actually, that’s a disservice to Shenton who is also a pretty good all round centre). What I would really like is the strong athletic centres who were also wingers centres – like Miles, Newlove and Meninga. Luckily, it seems that Australia and New Zealand aren’t producing these players now either
Or, it could be that I’m getting old and falling into the ‘wasn’t like that in my time’ trap... who knows!

But Briscoe still has 7 tries for the season, so Kirk needs some credit for that too.
From watching Hull this season it looks like Yeaman is passing far more to his winger than he ever used to.

Not letting your Rovers bias towards him allowing to slip in there?

No need to justify him mate.Look at the leading try scorers.

| One thing you can say about Yeaman, and probably the main reason for his popularity amongst Hull fans, is that he has a hell of alot of heart, he will never give up and will run and tackle as hard as he can for 80 minutes. He's hard as nails too.
I think it does him a dis-service to say he's slow too. He's no flyer but I've never really seen him found wanting for pace. He's probably on par with Shenton and he's certainly quicker than Bridge.

Maybe you should try & lift your Rovers bias for a minute, & take a look at the tries he scored over the weekend against Wire.

| pretty prolific, scored 124 in 238 games so often not needed to pass! but one of the biggest myths around! raynor had tremendous try record outside him and briscoe racking up a good 1 too! defence wise he is probably one of the best! shooting out of the line is his trade mark! had understanding with raynor so was covered when it didnt come off, getting that with tom now as well! but comes off more times than not! plenty of players been left on ground and even gone off after been hit and dozens over the years have lost ball when in good positions cos they know whats comming! on current form he's got to be a definate for exiles game!
