For me the England shirts don't immediately strike you as archetypal Rugby league ones.

And they are a mess. You wouldn't look at either of them in 10 years time and say 'Wow yes that was a great RL shirt'

Totally agree. The Exiles has a very classic RL design, while the England shirt looks like something you'd find in a SportsDirect.com bargain bin. They don't look like they belong on the same field together.

Agreed. the obsession with slapping on a (or many) cross of St George every time they design a new one is rather naff. i think it possibly suits the away shirt, but the home shirt would be a winner without the read cross in a 'badly painted' style on the front.

The England jersey should either be plain white, white with a red chevron or white with a sigle red hoop.

The latter two would look like a Saints or Rovers shirt.

I think if it was maybe a red and grey chevron, we'd at least get away from the "looking like another RL club" problem. Union has a grey trim at the moment and it seems to look OK.
