| Quote: JonM "To put that in context - Emirates deal with Arsenal was worth around £100 million when signed in 2004 - and is now often seen as not being such good business on Arsenal's part.
SL teams are pretty cagey about revealing details of shirt sponsorship deals, but I think most clubs have multiple sponsors paying five figure amounts and would expect the total to still be short of the figures NRL clubs achieve.'"
how u been john, look out for my team in the WCC.
and i dont care if they can sponsor players toenails, anything that brings in more money for rl, as long as its legal
RL doesnt have enough money be it SL or NRL

| Quote: BlackNwhite "i know its another sport but im sure i saw a basketball team called burger king'"
Yea, i think that's the New Zealand "Burger King" Breakers, which sounds completely ridiculous but then again maybe without the Burger King in their name they couldn't afford to be in the NBL.
Obviously it's great for the game to have as many money channels as possible, though, I do think it would be a sad day to see old, famous clubs in any sport have a sponsor in their name. By all means give the sponsors as much credit and exposure as possible but to change the name of a club to fit the sponsors name it would be madness.

| Given the corporation tax break allowed for advertising ( including sponsorship ) I would imagine that anything paid to Wigan in the Dave Whelan ownership days ( JJB etc ) would have been - and still would be - the highest paid in RL history. Congratulations to Cas on their deal but it would be hard to believe Probiz are paying more than even sponsors of top current sides like Pies and Saints.

Which one is it?'"
Little harsh
I'm fully for sponsorships I'm just wondering if some of the things sponsored today are a little over the top

Because it's Castleford. And he's a Castleford fan, so it's s factoid.
So, once Feisal Nahaboo put pen to paper, Dettoriman took it upon himself to investigate every club's sponsorhip deals since the dawn of time. And that my friend, is a FACT.

Crusaders apparently have a sponsor, apparently the new shirts just weren't ready.
