I totally disagree.

Some gay blokes would object to the word 'poof' whether it was made by another gay bloke or not.

Some black guys would object to the word you used (which has been censored) whether it was made by JayZ or a white bloke.

Some English people object to the word 'pom'

Some Americans don't like being called 'Yanks'

I think what he meant was it doesnt matter where you go in this world you will always see and/or hear comments that don't fit in with what you find acceptable.

I'm not sure what planet you came from but RL players don't sit around in the sheds at half time or at training sessions (or indeed nights out) drinking milk and eating ambrosia whilst discussing stamp collecting and what to bring to the local churches bring and buy fete you know.

I wouldn't be bothered if he says it with friends etc in private but the fact he's posted it on a personal twitter account what can be accessed by anyone is foolish and he shouldn't have done it.

So are we saying the RFL should be consistent in their punishments for homophobic comments or not?

So what punishment would you meet out to this Kevin Brown bloke?


Fine him?

Ban him?

Shoot him?

Force him to work on a gay switchboard for a week?

The RFL have set a precedent with the Cas fine, they should either ban him or fine him or both.

Leo-Latu received a 6 game ban for making a racist comment towards Kevin Penny.

I think the difference in this one is that this player hasn't directed his comments directly at one person unlike Leo Latu and the Castleford supporters towards Gareth thomas.

It's a throwaway comment (thats bordering on the ridiculous) made on his twitter page that I doubt most people on here even knew (or cared) existed this morning...

I get what you're saying, but if I want 'edgey' humour, i'll buy Viz or watch stand up. If the joke was poked at you personally or on a different topic like race, you wouldn't be happy.
