hey you thought they moved samoa vs tonga because there were poor ticket sales initially
so its good for the customer huh?
then its good marketing

| Just because something is good for the customer doesn't mean it is marketed well. They aren't even nearly the same thing.
I could have the best product in the world. But if it's not marketed well, no-one will buy it. If I make it better, the only people it will benefit are the few that it were marketed too before.

| This is what really annoys me about the International Board.
Why oh why can't RL market the game properly,I mean FFS the product is there and I know it's only Aus v PNG but it is the 4 Nations.
This is supposed to be the pinnacle of RL in the only International tournament of the year, for God's sake I wish they could promote the game properly for a change, when will they ever learn.

| Field of Dreams marketing from the Australians. Simply put, they though all they had to do was announce a venue and KO time and the rest would look after itself........something my club have been doing for years
Australia, whilst pretty immune from the global recession, is still a place where there are lots of other things to do on a sunny Sunday.......especially when the result of the game is pretty much bolted on. The people responsible for marketing this game should have used it as an opportunity for RL fans who go to their club games and MAJOR internationals to maybe introduce their sons/daughters to international footie. 1 adult ticket should have come with the option of getting 2 free kids tickets.......local schools should have received info on this offer (pester power works wonders) and special offers should have been made available every amateur club in the region. None of the above would have cost a lot of money....but now they've left it late....last minute TV/Radio/Press will be used.....costing money and impacting on any profit made.

We're 5 days away from what will be a cracking 4 Nations tournament and you post this
I really do wonder if Rugby League fans actually want the sport to fail sometimes

They really dont have any ambition do they.'"
They have no clue.
And why DM is defending them I have no idea...
Colin Love and Co. your tickets out the door are waiting for collection at gate 12.

There is some truth to this....though I doubt the merits of the post.
Certainly in Australia, where the analysis rates with mackenzie's.
The fact it isn't a joke, but is often labelled as such by the ignorant and biased, is the sad issue for those of us that truly love the international game.
Time mends all wounds however and we are heading slowly in the right direction.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

It shouldn't be nor was it designed to be.
I've just received a email from souths telling me I can discounted tickets for the game as a souths member.
