I agree.
But only because the other nations are so sh*thouse
Russia???
Come off it.
I seem to recall Australia scoring over 100 points against them.
I think the Lebs were unlucky not to make the 2008 World cup.

Undoubtedly quite a few non American people will suddenly discover they are eligible to play for the Seppos.
Just like Queensland born Ryan McGoldrick did a few years ago
If you have ever eaten a Big Mac, been to Orlando on holiday or can describe what the Fonz looks like you are in.

Yeah but if you watched him play Rugby you wouldn't think he was an Aussie

| Go to todays Denver Post (Denverpost.com) sports section and find out what Rugby Tournament is going on. Realise that the Broncos, Nuggets and Avalanche are in the off season. That may give you an idea what any sport out of the main 4 faces.

I don't think the OPs point was Rugby League specific - it was more about Rugby in general. The Churchill Cup international RU tournament is taking place at Glendale near Denver & the coverage for that is sp to say the least compared to the "major" sports even in thier off seasons.

Rightly so, Americans will find that sport even more tedious than the British and Australians find it.

| Thank you Dai for fully understanding the point I was making. There is little to no interest in the game of either code except for the odd American Student and ex-pats. This is, for Americans, a full international contest, played in Denver with a 2 line mention in the States largest paper. A day when the Rockies lost at Baseball and off season for the rest. If this had been played in late October the 2 lines would be gone. Its fair to mention that Denver is often classed as one of Americas top sports Cities and does have a few rugby union teams in the district. Only ex-pats seem to be aware there are two codes of rugby played.

To be honest, them only being able to get two lines worth of coverage is probably good news for RL, that way the American public won't have their minds poisoned before we can get to them. If anything, it's probably two lines too much.

| NRL shows in America at the minute, and I know there's been some people over there impressed with the physicality of it all. It's also had a mention recently, as a couple NFL teams have approached Inglis, and some sports websites have put up clips raving about his athletic abilities and talking up the sport.
Get Crowe involved with the US league and we could be onto a winner.
