I'm not sure why, but he seems to think that because one group of people is being criticised (in this case match officials), all other people are being completely exonerated. It's a bizarre position to take, especially given the number of threads devoted to criticising players and coaches.'"
Oh right. Well that's good of him isn't it. I thought he might actually be able to back up his bizarre rant, but from your description it seems that is unlikely...

| Why dont refs use the big screen for incidents which do not have to be for a try i.e of the ball stuff?
That way the player could be punished in the match and benifit the team that he does the offence too instead of being gutless and putting it on report.

Those nasty, overbearing, know the rules, match officials ,however, are a different kettle of fish!!!'"
Aye, the match officials always know the rules an never do anything wrong. I mean, you'd never expect someone to break the Data Protection Act and contravene their companies Information Technology policy by giving out personal details of fellow employees to a Trade Union.
Oh, wait a minute..................

A penalty doesn't have to be given to place a player on report. The Liam Colburn incident last week illustrated that.

| I wish the RFL would speed up the Hull merger plans for 2012, this inter-town bickering is getting very boring for the rest of the rugby league world. Let me get this right, Agars new contract takes him up to the end of 2011 when Wayne Bennett starts at the KC and takes over the new Hull franchise or is it January 2012??

its because the hull derby is rugby leagues only true derby with both clubs coming from 1 city, its unique in the game, and its got nought to do with outsiders and as for merger talk

| niggling in a Hull derby? Who'd have thought it!
Sounded like neither team are going to be troubling the trophy cabinet again this year. Close game, could have gone either way right till the end, pretty much a sell out crowd what's not to like about a Hull derby?

was it?
isn't the new craven parks capacity 12,000?
only 10,089 turned up.
if the facilities were better, mainly the south 'area', it would be full.

You should worry more about the wigan/small town in wigan merger plans so you can actually support a superleague team again before you die

| I was surprised it didn't kick-off more than it did. He did make a couple of schoolboy errors and bringing HFC back 60 yards for the penalty- what was that all about?

| Different game, but I'll praise Childs again for the Wakey v Cas game. He tried to let the game flow and barely blew at all in the first half. Unfortunately though both sides were intent on ruining the spectacle themselves. He had more cause to penalise Cas in the 2nd half and deservedly so as Matterson admitted.
It was a poor game, but not the refs fault though. If I wanted to get nit picky he kept a skinny ten, although as both teams seemed to have the go forward of a troop of sloths all that did was help them conserve energy for their Good Friday night out.
