Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

If Gareth Ellis is a Cas fan , played at a junior club , was picked by Wakey as a Scholar , academy player and a senior player , then eventually played for Leeds under the stewardship of Tony [ smug ] Smith , then all these will have helped him develop as a player along with his parents , family , fellow players and any coaches he has played under
All these people along with Gareth himself are responsible for his success
To try to pick out any single one is totally stupid , it is a collective of his life so far that has made him the person and the player he is
Well done Gareth'"
read the thread. wakey fans were claiming him as their own and praising their club
saying hes one of their own is as accurate as saying theyll get a new ground anytime soon
ie its not accurate (some of you guys are too thick to understand irony so ill put in subtitles to help you)

Wakefield fans are well within thier [ VT ] rights to claim Gareth Ellis as a product of thier club
Yes he has had many other influences that has made him the player he is , but he is a product of the Wakefield academy , he played there in his most formative years

| Hindy, I was just talking off the top of my head, West Tigers are a mid table club at best and had that one memorable year in 2005 where a lot of things fell their way and they became the most unexpected winners in about 2 life times.
In 10 years they have made the finals just once 2005 where they came 4th.
I agree with the comments you make regarding Ellis selection, it was him Tuiaki or an unknown.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

You don't expect Dally to answer where hard facts are concerned
Ellis has spent more time attached to the Wakefield club than any other and as such they deserve the greater pat on the back - the idea that Wakey stole him for Cas is not quite correct - nothing new there from dally - Cas did not make him an offer as Raper - another useless Aussie thankfully departed from our game - was not interested in youth development. So if Wakey had not picked him up he could have been lost to the game.

4652.gif I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

He might have "saved" the club but he told Ellis he was TOO SMALL and would NEVER make it as an RL player...good call Stu
