How many Lance Todd's did Long achieve at Wembley though?

The statue should in relation to the venue, opposed to just the occaision. Sean Long has played at Wembley once.

Shaun Edwards for me, there's no other player he can even compete with his Wembley success.

Have to agree with Hanley he would be my first choice.

Fox and Offiah are good ideas too.

For a new idea how about a status of Mike Gregory diving over the line in the 1990 final. That would be a good action shot.

For all the posturing between fans I don't think there's too many outstanding candidates. Long didn't win his three Lance Todds at Wembley and Edwards/Keiron Cunningham never won any Lance Todds anywhere which rules out all three of them for me. Perhaps the statue should be of the victorious Wigoon captain from the first Wembley final instead of somebody who just happened to have a good run of form at Wembley.

Andy Greg never lost there and would run Edwards close imo. Possibly one of the two of them similar to the NRL trophy if such an image exists.

True, but Edwards lifted it as a captain too.

If Shaun Edwards is chosen surely everyone outside RL (plus those too young to remember him in RL) will assume it's because he's connected with kick and clap and wonder why he's there.
