Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????" I kept the faith and I kept voting Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand For theirs is a land with a wall around it And mine is a faith in my fellow man Theirs is a land of hope and glory Mine is the green field and the factory floor Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers And mine is the peace we knew Between the wars:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_4486.png

Quote: Dunbar "Funny you mention that - I played a few times against Denis Betts and Ian Gildart when they played together at u15's & u17's - Gildart was the star of the show and was touted as the next big thing... then when they turned pro, he lost his running game completely and the coaches turned him into a workhorse

You never know do you!'"

Ian's still involved in the game - My lad's coach at Town Team, and a good one at that!

Dessie Drummond. The shear strength of how he put his shoulder in and lifted the player of the ground.

Class player not just for his tackling

Absolutely!

For someone different at Cas, Brad Hepi had an awesome tackling technique, was always amazing when he came on the field

Shane Millard for Widnes stands out in my memory for my own club, but Gary Larson (Norths) in the 90's NRL was a tackle-bot and takes the prize for me.

A while back, but Peter Smith of Featherstone Rovers was the best I've ever seen - he quietly and efficiently put down anyone he needed to; and he always seemed to be there for the really important ones. And a little further back, for those who can remember, Keith Cotton should have a mention on this thread. Those who were tackled by him will certainly remember him.
