Sorry to sound like Ray French here, but I think a still picture can say anything, would want to see this at full speed to decide.

er.....from the RLF site after last years game in France (which was played on the scheduled day and time by the way )
Following an altercation between a Harlequins and a Catalans player, the Player ran in and threw a number of punches. The Player’s actions led to a reaction from a Catalans player and meant that the brawl continued longer than might otherwise have been the case. The Player’s only intention in running in appeared to be throwing punches and not calming the situation. In relation to this type of behaviour, it is important that Super League players set the standards that others within the game follow and that a clear message is sent out that this type of behaviour is unacceptable and does not form part of the game.
Result = LMS got 3 games and £300!
Let's see what another young player at a bottom half club gets this year.

| LMS threw a number of punches that made the Catalan player respond.....that would point to Player on Player.......but apparently, this offence has now been downgraded

| Judging from the Boots N All podcast, it was a grab at best. The way Bird fell made it look much worse.
He got stepped badly, flung an arm out and the pace that Bird was moving at made him fall in that way. Lazy but not malicious.

It's all Bird's fault then, the Ronaldo of the Rugby league world. You are joking

| So to summarise this thread, rather than being treated the same way as every other allegation of a high tackle this season, Jamie Peacock should have the book thrown at him because:
a) He doesn't play for your club, and
b) He's England captain so should be made an example of.

Interesting, how many suspensions have been handed out this season for high tackles as opposed to not guilty/no further action?
I'm sure you've got the stats to back that up?

Amazing. That run gets further and the "punch" gets harder every time the tale is told.
Funny there was no mention of who threw the first punch?!

| Big name players escape punishment, so what's new?
I'm sure that dangerous grapple is far more serious and worthy of a ban than nearly decapitating someone or running in to throw punches.

Where did I say that Bird dived? I said that Peacock had no intent, it was just lazy by him and it looked a lot worse than it was. I never said that Bird dived. But don't let that get in the way of your petty little rant.
