re HKR's ground plans, I think the Nth stand won't happen for some years. We have to do the extension to the East stand which is relatively inexpensive and will increase our crowds. Some sort of roof over the current Nth stand as well to stop the away fans moaning would be good.

i thonk if we get the East stand extended and improve away fans facilities at the NTh end then the RFL will be ok with that come next bidding time.

At the end of the day as long as you are making improvements on a regular basis the RFL can have no argument with Rovers as regards facilities

if you carry on playing the way you are then any issues with your ground will be irrelevant anyway imo

Surely the first issue is sorting out the Bruges End, even if it's just a matter of sticking a temporary stand nearer to the pitch in the same manner as the North?

This is what is going to happen for now.

East stand will be extended to Try line at south accomodating another 600+ Home Fans (which would normally go in the north) and North Stand will be moved to the south with the large area behind the sticks being levelled and tarred to allow it to be placed there.
Club is also looking into having a roof made to cover what will be the away section as it DOES listen to away fans concerns regarding weather etc.
North Stand will be completed with 4 years and much funding is already in place.
But people still have to be aware that liscense issues are over several different criteria not just facilities and as the other poster pointed out League position is one of them.

But the point being that you are actually doing something unlike many others

In fact I can see a situation shortly where other clubs will have to change existing plans and look to do something similar to what you are doing at CP

Why rather than looking to move to new stadia (that no one can fund)

can any of the grounds be redeveloped

Craven Park will never be the KC but when it has 4 stands under cover, i will be happy

How many times have hudds been relegated in that 12 years? How many times has Hudds average crowd been below 5,000 in that 12 years. Had Hudds not had a football team would you still have a stadium like you do? Do try not to make yourselves sound so superior.

Cmon' lets be honest about all this.

Who REALLY thinks that

A) the RFL will NOT change the rules regarding Stadia for the 2012 "franchise"?

B) Saints, Salford, Cas and Wakey will actually have NEW grounds or that they are actually being built!

C) It's all a cunning plan to get Leigh, Doncaster, Toulouse and the whiners into SL at the expense of the previous clubs

D) That A will change so many times it becomes irrelevant along with all the other "fair" franchise rules.
