I am referring to the towns where clubs play. Townsville is the name of the town, North Queensland is the team. Perpignan is the town, Les Catalans Dragons is the team.

Perpignan is not in the RL heartland.

What rubbish. Perpignan is a French rugby league heartland. Has been for decades!

But the Catalan Dragons team is representative of a whole region , therefore they have 7 million people to draw fans from , so basically a crowd of 7/8,000 is pish poor

There is no heartland of RL in France.
The fact that it is pretty much the only place that knows about RL doesn't make it a heartland.
