Why would you just drop the ball like that?? Just pass it or play it dead! I know that injury must be excrutiating but surely it doesn't make you braindead...

You will of done if was deemed serious for the game to stop for the players well fare ie head injury, this was just fortunate ligament damage not life threatening

As for Griffin if it was a full tear the pain is equivalent to being shot . It hurts like hell so don’t blame him for dropping it .
Depending on the level of the tear probably 6 to 8 months out .
( wife is a physio)

Even as a Hull fan I don't hold any blame against Griffin for dropping it. Disappointing it happened but I've never had that pain before so I ain't going to judge the guy.

Tough one. Fages played to the whistle, but when a player is obviously hurt like that it's the right thing to stop. They would have asked the ref to stop play had he held the ball.

Split second timing though for Fages and he played to the whistle.
