Richardson has been poor second half of the season, then again a lot of Saints players have.

Looking at his Twitter feed he's attended a match at Manchester United and been on the Super League show. Doesn't mean he's about to replace Rashford or Arnold. For those interested he's also been to the Trafford Centre shopping with Todd Carney, watched Halifax play Toronto, visited Dublin, attended the races at Chester with the Doc, got an invite to the Lance Todd Trophy award dinner and played a few half decent games for Salford. So place your bets. FWIW we Salford fans think he's rubbish and nobody should look to take him off our hands...

Richardson is vastly overated. Granted he is playing behind an absolutely awful pack, but still, his decision making is woeful. Jamie Foster mk2

| Jackson Hastings is massively overrated. His main contribution to Salford is to allow Robert Lui to play his preferred running game.
Other SL clubs who don't have a talented half like Lui will not get as much benefit out of Hastings as Salford. If Hastings was very good then the Sydney Roosters would never have released him to Manly.

And if he was snapped up by Catalans,it would be the signing of the century.

Lui’s stats don’t really back up your point Jean, terrible stats for a halfback. Even behind Liam Finn on try assists and he only played half a season.

| Hastings and Lui ripped Fax apart at the weekend. They're both quality, and showed that two good players (with very different styles) can be of greater benefit than the two individuals separately.

Aye, like all SL clubs should be doing... In that part of the table because of the season Salford have had and are in that position because Lui and Littlejohn are overrated.

Playing behind a SL pack will also help, even a relatively poor one.

Well would you not expect him to be? Especially playing behind a dominant pack.

32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

| Salford struggled in the regular season with several injuries and by not having a quality halfback to play alongside Rob Lui. Littlejohn was a disappointing replacement for Dobson and then young Sharrocks on loan from Wigan was sadly just not ready for the step up to Superleague.
Personally I think coach Ian Watson has been gearing up for these qualifiers for weeks by not rushing players back and then signing quality like Hastings and Lussick who both represented Australian schoolboys. The signing of Jackson Hastings in particular seems to have energised the whole squad and they now look a lot more enthusiastic, organised and a completely different team in both attack and defence.
It's funny how last year we had very few injuries in the regular season and finished in our highest ever SL position (4th), only to fall off a cliff in the Super 8's when we picked up injuries. And this year it's the complete opposite way around.
