Brilliant signing for them. He's young and enthusiastic. Won't hurt Wakefields push for the top 8 and a chance for a semi final apperence.

I reckon he is pretty much like Michael Shenton. Will only play his best rugby at his home club, Castleford. Cas could have done with him, and both club and player would have benefited IMO.

Arundel won't play international rugby. In fact he wont be first choice at Wakefield. Pretty average and certainly didn't particularly impress at Bradford.

You clearly don't get how it works in the City and Five Towns. Cas, Wakey and Fev are the home clubs to all these players, they all have a minor preference to the club they supported as a child but basically they are happy to play for any of them. Hence the number of players who successfully move around those 3 clubs.

As the crow flies and with the Normanton by-pass BV is approx 4 miles from WR, little more than a slight diversion - he'll settle in just fine.

No he won't play International Rugby. However we have a knack of turning ordinary players in good players - we turned Reece Lyne into a decent SL centre (though I concede not an international), who'd have thought

Where does this myth come from that the Leeds team all laik for nowt, because they love the club so much?

My understanding is that he wasn't registered. He wasn't initially given a squad number but was given 34 or 35 a few weeks after all the others had been announced. I assumed that he was going to be there as a last resort in case we had crippling injuries. In which case we would register him.

It's simple mathematics with a £1.8m cap 25 man squad that's about £75k each average. Now some players will be on a lot more than that and fringe players allot less. The higher paid players for instance will be £90-100k+ so using Leeds as an example. The likes of Sinfield peacock, hall,Watkins, briscoe, will be in that league. Insert big names at other big clubs and you get the drift. Now do you think Arundel is in that calibre of player £90k puts you in the higher earners at clubs.
