What's the general consensus with the Fev fans then?

Surprised we haven't heard more from Rovers fans, not much even on their board. Paul Wood is still an SL quality prop and should be a very valuable addition to their squad for 2015.

Think most Fev fans are delighted with this signing but there has been so much going on of late in the Flatcapper land as we try to regroup after the crazy goings-on involving Feisal Nahaboo last season. We've recently signed, subject to visas, Reni Maitua and Jy Hitchcox, one a veteran from the NRL the other having played a handful of NRL games at the close of this season, so the late and unexpected signing of Wood has been just one of several recent announcements. We are still awaiting visas for Maitua (which obviously isn't guaranteed given his somewhat chequered history), Hitchcox's visa has apparently just been approved by the RFL but likely to be a week or two before he arrives, and we're also still waiting for our other import Ryan Verlinden to get his documentation so there's a lot going on/up in the air with Fev at the moment.

Have read lots of Warrington fans suggesting Wood didn't show much on the field in 2014 but even if his best days are well behind him his leadership qualities/experience should be very useful.

To be fair he started last season injured and his season went on to be marred by them. Then when he did get to the field he was probably a little frustrated, which culminated in him lamping someone against Wigan and being lucky not to get sent off. I thought he would go better this time around with a good, full preseason behind him and think he will definitely do a good job in the Championship. He is still good enough for most Super League teams IMO. He had a great season in 2013 but now has a lot of competition for places at Warrington which I suspect, coming to the end of his career, has influenced his decision to leave. He goes with our best wishes. Woody hasn't ever really had leadership qualities though.
