| Reading that it looks like his agent is just trying to get North Queensland to give him a good, final contract to finish his career with the Cowboys. Don't think he'll move.

| Hasn't he had a whole series of bad injuries to both knees? If so, any club signing him would be taking one hell of a gamble.

True but he seems to have bounced back incredibly well from them. Reads unlikely to be happen but he's certainly a player that would light up SL no end!

| never really been the same player since he busted his knees
is showing some signs now of getting back to best form but nowhere near his best form`
cant see him playing in the cold north and the culture shock as well for him

| Wont get a game at Cas, Someone else can have him, We are looking to promote our youth
Something Widnes should be doing. The whole point of getting a franchise, Is giving home grown talent 3 years development, Rather than giving an aussie a 2 year pension

Were going to need some to match up though! Or is Dean Widders actually a 19 year old lad from Normanton?

| No, We have a good blend of youth and experience. Nick Fozzard, Mathers and Aspinwall arent teenagers either. But we have a great blend at our club, A core of young Cas players, We have built up, In the last 3 years of super league. Into first team players.
Your aim is to do the same. Give the youth the chance

Yes and Cas are a good example on field to follow.
However your missing the point slightly in that we also need to sign those top flight experienced players as well! Which is no different to Castlefords signings of Widders, Sargent, McGoldrick, Youngquest etc etc since you where promoted.

I agree with that, coming from Australia, it would be a shock for him to see some culture

| Quote: Gamer 111 "Looks like he will be going to Hull KR then'" That isn't possible unless we let one of Mason, Green, Webster, Clinton or Dobson (yes I know!!) go.
Now seeing as there is a good chance that Galea and Vella are going at the end of the season we are goin to be 2 overseas players down.
I do wonder whay witty (not really) nickname we will get in the future.

| I'm just glad to see our ambition and calibre of players we are approaching like Bowen and Lockyer. Also heard Briscoe and Ellis in the names linked with us.

Thats quite some spin. One an absolute crock and the other, someone who has had a glittering career but has now had enough.
Which Ellis by the way? Jamie?

| If you mean Gareth Ellis, The day he returns from the NRL, It will be to finish his career at Cas, If we want him
And your right, Its all about getting a good balance. I'd rather take a risk on a younger less established NRL player, Than a 30 year old
Sherwin had all the experience in the world. Turned out to be a bad signing
Chase was unproven, Not really rated. Now he is one of the best in the world.

There's a theme there.
Orford came to England a Dally M and Premiership winner. One of the worst signings we've made in recent memory.
Kearney came a nobody, as did L'Estrange. Now up there with the best players in their position in SL.
