| Why am I not surprised that an Ocker has come up with this?

| I definitely wouldn't go for four quarters but perhaps a 60 second water break at the 20 and 60 minute mark for TV games would suffice.

My thoughts as well , make it a 2 minute break and get rid of constantly having ' coaches/water carriers ' on the pitch during the game

| You only need that kind of water break on very hot days, there are plenty of stoppages in play to take in water.

| Its a stupid idea, the thing that makes our game so exciting is that there is free flow of play, non of this stopping after every play. Dont get me wrong, Im a big fan of the NFL, but let the NFL be the NFL, and rugby league be rugby league.
If you need ad space on tv, there is at least 30 seconds after every try while the kicker sets up.
Our athletes are unique in the way they play at such intensity for such long periods, why remove the spectacle of that?
The AMNRL often play in quarters, it shows when the Americans play at international level, they also have unlimited interchanges.

| Rubbish idea. I already think that the interchange rules have made a forwards workload easier - I'm of the though thought that stamina and resiliance should be rewarded, instead of allowing people like Feka to steal a living.
4 subs, 6 interchanges, two halfs, 40 minutes each - that's what I say.

| With commercial TV revenues available, it's only a matter of time. It seems a far better option than cutting to an ad break in the middle of play.

| the introduction of 4 quarter football will help international RL become closer as most teams can match each other for 20 - 30 mins but the better teams will wear down the other in the final 10 mins.

Fully agree. RL isn't just about the best tacklers or runners - it's also about how players raise themselves when things are getting tough; when you've a few lads injured and playing out of position and the opposition still have their fresh subs and are running hard.
Without harking on about wendyball, they have TEN subs at the World Cup. TEN??? There's only eleven on the bloody pitch!!
The Aussies already go to a quick ad break when kickers are preparing conversions, if we must go down that route that's an option.
And if we cut game time to 60 minutes (fecking awful idea), will we also cut player wages and admission prices by 25%?

If the convicts want to play gridiron, why don't they just do so, rather than trying to turn rugby league into American football?

| Breaking news from ocker watch, next season tries to be awarded for being in control of the ball in goal no grounding required followed by the legalisation Of a forward pass. Tbh it doesn't sound any different to the nrl now

Agreed that would be rubbish.
Number of times Rhinos only start playing with 20 minutes to go would really put us at a disadvantage too
