This game just showed the gap between St Helens and Wigan. St. Helens were missing 5 of their first choice 1-7 and the second best second rower in SL after Joe Batchelor and their best prop went off injured, and Wigan managed to just hold on for the win, despite help from the referee. I counted 3 late hits on the kicker that were worse than what St Helens have had sin bins for in the past. Plus countless head shots that went unpunished.

Saints fans don’t need to worry, it’s still going to be 4 in a row. If Hopoate, Percival and Makinson played, Wigan would be scoreless
